PADDINGTON BEAR'S FIRST CONCERT COMES TO BRIDLINGTON AND POCKLINGTON THIS AUGUST
Sinfonia Viva will bring a magical event inspired by Paddington BearTM’s story to Pocklington and Bridlington in August.
The show is narrated by Abimaro Gunnell and BSL interpreted by Sarah Gatford.
Follow in a famous bear’s footsteps, recreating the journey he made when he arrived in London for the first time and attended his first concert, with some mishaps on the way.
Don’t miss this whimsical show of storytelling through music, film and set design.
This performance invites you and your family into the world of the classic character, however, Paddington will not be represented on stage physically but rather in your imaginations through this live music and story-telling performance.
A charming musical adventure to delight young and old, The performance will be ideal for ages five and over and is a wonderful introduction to classical music through un-bear-lievable family fun.
Marmalade sandwiches will, of course, be available.
The event is part of East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s arts development teams Classically Yours programme, that aims to bring high quality orchestral experiences to a wide variety of audiences across the region.
Through a co-production with Orchestras Live, Classically Yours has received subsidy from Arts Council England to make this event possible.
Councillor Nick Coultish, portfolio holder for culture, leisure, and tourism, said: “This event is a huge boost to the tourism economy of the East Riding and allows families from across the region the chance to enjoy a new experience.
“Sinfonia Viva are top quality performers, and we can be sure that this show will be worth a watch."
The concerts will be on Saturday 12th August at Pocklington Arts Centre from 2:30pm and on Sunday 13th August at Bridlington Spa at 11.15am and 2.30pm
