Or last availability is between Saturday 28th September and Saturday 12th October and then Friday 25th October.

After that we are into 2025!

Just changed the weights in the window blinds to chainless ones. Hopefully that’ll stop guests worrying when the inevitable tangling of dogs and kids happens and they break. They get really brittle in the sun so it’s bound to happen.
Out of the 110 I’ve just replaced only 40 stayed intact!

Wow! Just taken four bookings for next year, all previous guests.
It’s good to know people enjoy their stays so much they want to come back.
So, it’s business as usual next year for us 😎

We’ve only increased the prices by £5 per stay!

Just to let everyone know.
We have put the chalet up for sale this week although we intend to carry on until the end of October.
We’ve had five great years and it’s time for us to move on to other things.
So thankyou to all of you who have stayed with us and made it a pleasure to look after the chalet.
I’ve been in touch personally with people who have stayed with us, particularly our regular customers.
When we do sell we are happy to let you have the details of the new owners.
In the meantime, Thankyou again for all your support.

All ready for the new season, a bit of maintenance done and info poster displayed.
Old amusements building demolished and preparations for the rest of the new chalets. Be interesting to see what the new view will be like from the stable door area.

Well, the elves seem to have gone. It took them a long time to sleep that one off!

The poster boys would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year.
They are going to bed now because they don’t like the fireworks!
In the meantime the elves party is in full swing, pole dancing been the main attraction. It seems Kevin the carrot is particularly good at it, so good we can’t show you the pictures.
You’ll have to make do with this slightly more restrained pair.

Eric is teaching Ernie how to pole dance but not sure if he approves of his efforts.

Eric and Ernie are busy tracking Santa. That’s the last we’ll see of them until the morning.
They did say they had been on an apprenticeship with Santa’s “National Elf Service” for the last six months and they were hoping for a full time job. We will see if they were nice enough! Time will tell.

That’s because the present isn’t for them but they can smell the ones I wrapped up for them earlier!

Ernie thinks it’s hilarious that I thought yesterday was the shortest day (easy mistake, it does change between the two) and said I shouldn’t be so pedantic.
I said they were lucky I did make the mistake otherwise they would’ve had more than frozen sprouts to contend with by the time I found them.

At long last it is the shortest day which, as well as the days now becoming longer, means our intrepid elves should be back.
Nowhere to be seen! Then, a message on the fridge. A bit of hunting around and we found them in the freezer, just below the frozen veg. Ernie looked a bit rosy cheeked and very unhappy. Eric said ‘Nobody puts Ernie in the corner’!

We had a look in the loft today, no sign of Eric or Ernie. Who knows where they’ll appear. Only thing I know for sure, it’s always on the shortest day.
In the meantime you’ll have to make do with my mums Christmas lights!
Could do to be a bit darker - I know.

Currently the water quality is good.

What a beautiful day for the start of the Dart 18 World Championship. 10 races over five days, with over 120 entries from 9 countries.
The Dart 18 is an 18 foot glass fibre catamaran for two people that can achieve speeds of up to 20 knots.
Whether you are interested of not, it certainly makes an interesting sight.

“We think you are being discriminatory to our four legged friends”
How do you mean?
“Wine for the grown ups, haribo for the kids and those boring biscuits for the likes of us. It’s time you upped your game”
I beg your pardon?
“You heard, we won’t eat them so why should anyone else. We know it’s Sunday but the shops are open you know”
Okay..
“Off you go”

The poster boys are trying to keep cool with a bit of shade and their cooling bandanas.

Who needs foreign holidays when we’ve got this on our doorsteps, 26 degrees and full sunshine.

We’ve got limited availability now for the school holidays, just Friday 11th August for 3 nights or Monday 28th August for 4 nights.

The poster boys are a bit warm today so a cool, water soaked, microfibre bandana seems to be doing the trick. Of course the cool mat is an option they are both ignoring!
