Christmas is looming and so there’s lots of shoppers about!

Please try to (if you can) shop small this year, shop small throughout the year and shop small wherever you can if you can.

There’s sooooo many independent businesses around and each of us have lots of unusual, handmade, quirky, fun, fab gifts and bits in store. Things you might not find anywhere else.

This week we’re going to be adding lots more to our website because whilst we are not Amazon with super speedy next day delivery. We do have some pretty spectacular items that we get shipped out asap. Postage is only £3.50 but if you’re local you can do click and collect FOR FREE.

We’re saying this on behalf of and for all our independent lil biz friends, ourselves included!

6 years ago today “Sissy and One” became a name that was initially just a little hobby for myself where I just made things. A few weeks later it became my go to for calm when doing exposure therapy.

4 years later it became a physical shop (something I still can’t believe!)

Today it still is my calm haven, my go to when I’m stressed or anxious (although I can’t really say that’s working today! 😅) but it’s my little empire of love and happiness. I’m proud of where it is today. Long may it continue 🫶🏼

Thanks to each and every single person who’s supported whether it’s been every step of the way, some steps, or just a like from the other day! It means a lot. Thank you. ❤️

Family have been to visit this weekend, here they are out and about exploring, they loved the fires at The Board Inn, Bridlington Old Town, were lucky enough to see the sun for a trip on the pirate ship and enjoyed a walk along the cliffs from Sewerby Hall and Gardens

Lovely weekend at beautiful sunset over followed by delicious food at Little Sicily Restaurant, moonlit walk back up the cliffs and struggled round Sewerby parkrun after a bit too much wine! Loving the Lego Dino display at Sewerby Hall and Gardens
