A huge walrus has been spotted resting on a slipway in Scarborough Harbour overnight. The massive beast, which is more used to waters in and around the Artic was observed resting yesterday evening and has already been given the nickname Thor.

*Important information*

Please note that as of October we will be having a electric coin meter fitted to the chalet. We have tried hard not to come to this point but unfortunately due to certain people leaving heating on full permanently when they leave (even during warm weather) and charging electric cars (yes this has happened!) we have no option but to put one in. We have looked into other options but unfortunately is just not cost effective for us to continue our current holiday rates and swallow this expense! We feel the coin meter will be a fairer option for those just wanting a normal holiday and who are sensible with their electricity usage. We will be putting a nominal amount in the meter for the duration of your stay which will be based on the average persons stay so if you are someone who is out walking or seeing the sights this should not affect the price of your stay too much, however if you plan to charge you vehicle whilst here or stay in all day with the heating on playing video games then unfortunately this will affect your holiday cost. There will be a notice in the chalet with energy saving tips for people to make the most of their electricity costs. If you need to know more then please feel free to contact us.
