Here's a breakdown of what's going on all day tomorrow.

BUCKEYDOO SQUARE

🎩 10am – 1pm : On-street short listing of the ‘Fun’ Hat
🎩 1pm : The mass Hat photo
🎩 1.10pm - 2pm : Judging and prize giving
🎩 10.15am - 4pm : 9 live bands

MILLENNIUM GREEN

👒 10am - 7pm: 8 live bands, Licensed bar and food
👒 10.30am: Hat hurling challenge
👒 11am : Hatted Dog party
👒 11am - 4pm : Vintage Tea Party
👒 3pm : Judging

The market will be buzzing across South, West, East and Downes Streets
Don't forget the vintage quarter around St Michael's Lane.
And the best bit is - FREE PARKING!

Meet a Palaeontologist - 12th August

Drop in to the Museum on 12th August to find out how to find fossils or to discuss your finds with palaeontology expert and Children's Fossil Competition Judge, Kieran Satchell!

Whilst you're here find out more about the competition which is running until October and how to enter for a chance to win. A great opportunity to chat all things fossil and find out more about where to look for fossils and what to look out for. No admission required for this drop in session!

The Torchlight Procession will be on Sunday 18th August 2024 (torches from 6.30pm) procession 9.00 pm, from Bucky Doo Square), ending up with band on the beach and fireworks at West Bay.

At 6.30pm people start to arrive to ensure they get their torches (we sold out last year!) for this increasingly popular spectacular!
At 9.00 pm, dusk, at Bucky Doo Square.
The Mayors’ torch is lit. Then she lights those next to her, and so it follows on, cascading through the procession, looking magical. Practical as well, as it ensures that the torch will last all the way to West Bay!
The procession slowly snakes its way down to West Bay, where the torches are thrown onto the bonfire, and people celebrate with a drink and some (more) food!

Popular local band, to keep the mood going, until around 10.00pm when the fireworks display capture everyone’s attention, then back to dancing the night away.

Torches are £6 each (Must be over 18yrs to purchase Torches)

Bus return to Bridport from 9.15pm -12pm , £1 and under 10yrs old are Free of Charge
