The Jurassic Pier at West Bay stretches out to sea for 240 metres. It's a fantastic place to view the iconic golden cliffs that this coastal village is famous for 👀🌊🏖️

The Pier is wheelchair accessible and has lots of seating - perfect for enjoying something to eat or drink while taking in the scenery.

As many of you know, we’ve been displaying Neil Barnes] for a while now and his photos make fabulous gifts all year round, Neil is a friend and we love to support, small, local, independent businesses.

Today, Neil kindly donated a new wheelchair ramp to us…our old one had seen better days!

This is brilliant and we can’t thank him enough to enable wheelchair users easier accessibility when dining with us.

Neil is very much heart & soul of our community and you’ll always find him on Bridport market, selling his talent!

We will ensure when he joins us Christmas Day he’s treated like a king! 👑

I'm back! After 2 months without a trip out with the camera (property photography aside), I captured last night's amazing sunset from the side of West Bay Harbour in Dorset.

I have recently moved back to West Bay from East Devon, so I'm looking forward to getting more new photos and will be following this up with full moonrise this evening near Dartmoor National Park - fingers crossed the weather stays this clear!

The curious in me wanted to know how the Bridport Golf Club course was fairing in this drought, so yesterday I sent Minnie up to take a look. I must say hats off to the greenkeepers who are keeping the greens.. green! It must be very testing in these very harsh conditions. It does of course make for a lovely picture of contrast. 08/08/2022

This Thursday (21st July) Discovery Centre volunteer, local historian and author Elizabeth Gale will takes walkers down West Bay's Memory Lane. Elizabeth’s walks are always very popular, she was born and grew up in Burton Bradstock but spent a great deal of her time in West Bay where her grandmother owned a bungalow. Her interest in local history has resulted her having five books published.

Advance booking is not required, but arrive outside the West Bay Discovery Centre in good time for a 10.30am start, there will be a fee of £5 per person - cash or card accepted upon attendance. The walk will last approximately one and a half hours.

Tomorrow is the final day of my exhibition at Heavers in Bridport - I'll be there from midday until 3pm to meet anyone that is popping down.

And a second exhibition is now confirmed at the The Town Mill in Lyme Regis from 9th to 28th July, alongside artists Dorset Artist - Hilary Buckley and Russel Coulson!

Here's one more from lunchtime's flight, I know how much some of you enjoy the 360deg panoramas so I couldn't resist doing another. I positioned Minnie directly in front of the remains of the last major rockfall from November last year and you can see how the sea has now very tidily removed almost all of the spoil from the fall. 25/04/2022
