Now we’ve got our land legs back, it’s time to reflect. That was a really, really, REALLY special trip around the Lofoten Islands last week ❤️

Brimming with memories and happiness tanks topped up; in the company of our faithful we went expedition style trailing & sailing our way amongst ethereal beauty in a place untouched and away from the madding crowd.

Thanks to all our amazing team who joined us for the week. We couldn’t have asked for a better bunch to be with.

This adventure was so good that we’ll be returning next year for more.

They found their mountain.

Our group have conquered Annapurna 💥…making it safely back down to Kathmandu after 10 thrilled days of trail running in the high Himalaya…115km, 9100m of elevation. That sounds like a recovery day is in order!

This adventure brings the curtain down on our 2023 running adventures, it’s been a year to remember.

It’s fair to say we are an excitable and passionate bunch here at Pure Trails HQ so it seems a great idea to grow our community with trail runners who share the same passion for adventure.

Every month we’ll host a guided trail run at a range of destinations throughout the UK.

All abilities are welcome, with distances ranging from 10 - 20km. We’ll showcase beautiful trails, make memories, newfound friendships and improve your confidence and skills along the way.

Celebrating 4 years of making memories 💥

We started this journey back in 2019, a passion and a dream grew from something small, with just three adventures on our portfolio. A pandemic came along, but we leant into the storm and came through unscathed and revived.

Since then, we haven’t stopped.

Our adventures now travel to nearly 20 destinations, over 300 of you have trusted us on trails from Albania to Annapurna. Making memories and forging friendships along the way.

Just to say we are grateful to all of you who have shared our journey with us over the last 4 years, and to our future team we can’t wait to make unforgettable moments with you on the trail.

Our last three days have been breathtaking, flowing trails through an entire National Park. Forests, lakes, waterfalls, summits, and wonderful people…this one had it all!

Georgia…WOWOW…

There are just too many superlatives to describe the journey we’ve been on 🤩

Today our group finished their epic adventure having trail run over 100km over the course of this week.

With some 5000m+ of ascent thrown in their route saw them start in the shadows of Mt. Ushba, traversing the high Guli Pass (2945m), through the medieval villages of Mestia, Adishi and Ushguli, and finally running downhill, basking in the glory of the the Bezingi wall - a range of 5000m mountains that flanks this corner of the Caucasus mountains.

Its been nothing short of spectacular, rest well to our group and we wish them well with their recovery 👏

Trail running changed my life | The Story of Pure Trails

We are a team of passionate trail runners.

Pure Trails has been forged together from love and desire to explore magnificent places whilst keeping fit and achieving something special along the way.

The idea was first dreamt up some 10 years ago as I ran along a glacial stream in the Himalayas. Along the shoreline, I watched as locals washed their clothes in the mountain water. The smell of burning juniper from a nearby monastery, the ice-cold wisps of wind that blew up from the valleys below and the towering mountains that surrounded me made me feel alive in this most remarkable of places on earth.

We are all curious by nature, having grown up reading and listening to tales of intrepid explorers who have walked to the furthest corners of the globe and of those who have scaled the highest heights. We now live in the greatest age where it is possible to experience such things for ourselves.
