Trains and boats and . . . a chance to relax
We were delighted to be able to offer a group of families from Ukraine the chance to relax and enjoy the delights of Bristol Harbour.
The families have fled the conflict in their home country and settled in Bradford on Avon, many leaving husbands or partners back in Ukraine.
The trip was also an opportunity to demonstrate the potential destinations available using public transport, such as a visit to the Brunel's SS Great Britain by train and ferry, in an event supported by the Severnside Community Rail Partnership and Great Western Railway.
Bradford on Avon Deputy Mayor, Cllr Sam Blackwell, who also made the trip, said it was a great opportunity to get the families together and enjoy some fun with their children.
