This week GLV visited Livingstone Tanzania Trust and the great work they have been doing developing the schools of Babati for the welfare of their students. Quote of the day from our Project Manager, Nickson 'This is the best government school I have ever visited.' Very evident from our visit that LTT and their partners MCDO clearly understand the needs and challenges of the schools here and are making a huge positive impact. Looking forward to working with them in our group expeditions and being part of that impact.
The best risk assessment we have carried out in a long time. Exciting times for our new project looking at educational wildlife surveys for our school groups. We're working with the African Wildlife Foundation in a wildlife management reserve, close to where we operate. Great to see plenty of wildlife thriving here.

The serval is a wild cat native to Africa and can be found in many national parks in Tanzania. These lesser know cats are excellent hunters and have the highest success rate of any wild cat, catching their prey in more than 50% of their attempts. They have long legs and large ears, which help them detect the movement of small animals in the grass. They can leap vertically up to 10 feet in the air to catch birds too!

The African Elephant is the largest land mammal on earth. They are highly social animals and live in close-knit family groups led by a matriarch. These groups, known as herds, can consist of several generations of related females and their young. Male elephants typically leave the herd around adolescence and may either live alone or form temporary bachelor groups. You can spot these amazing creatures in "Elephant's Paradise" (Tarangire national park) or in the Serengeti in Tanzania.
