We are absolutely delighted to officially welcome Kevin to the Go Beyond team!

Kevin has long been affiliated with us as the poet who has provided incredible poems for many of our guests over the last few years, but due to our growth, we were looking to expand our numbers and we’re over the moon that Kevin agreed to join us.

📣 🌞 ✈️ 🧔🏻‍♂️ ✈️ 🌞 📣

Kevin, who is based in South Wales, has a strong background in tourism and customer relations. He will now be supporting us with prospective client initial communication, through phone calls, emails and social media. He’s been a passionate advocate of our work ever since we started up some 15 years ago, and his enthusiasm for the role is already shining through!

At his own request, he’s diving head first into the role and is volunteering on our ‘Best of Spain’ tour THIS Thursday. So, if you’re on this holiday then he’ll be there greeting you at Gatwick Airport and we just know you’ll love having him join you!

Did you know that Go Beyond works closely with a proffesional poet? Our good friend Kevin who owns From Me To You Poems, has been providing poetry for our guests for many years, either by way of welcome poems which await each guest on their arrival on one of our holidays, or penning thank you poems which we post out to our clients after a trip, recollecting memories of their time away with us.

Our wonderful guest Amelia, who has just returned from a week in Spain with Go Beyond, has penned a poem about her recent time away with us. We were so blown away with it we asked Amelia if we could give Kevin a week off from writing, and use her beautiful poem instead. She fabulously agreed and it shall now be sent out with an accompanying group photo to her and all her fellow guests from last week’s fantastic week in Northern Spain. Beauty of Spain by Amelia Weldon

In the north of Spain, beauty is vast,
Though the week went very fast.
From sea green water to white sand beaches,
All you could hear was giggles and screeches.
Splashing and swimming in the sea all day long,
Whiling away the time by singing dad’s song.
A sanctuary where life can truly be,
Feeling joyful, wild and free.

Learning to surf in the oceans calm water,
Being brave to stand up and finding my balance,
Though the time staying up would weaver and falter.
Visiting the Santiago cathedral in all its splendour,
Walking inside the sight leaves you in complete awe and wonder.

It feels like you are standing on the edge of the world,
So mysterious and misty for all to know.
Imaginations begin to take you on a journey,
For the heart of the story lies in the heart of your yearning.
To find friendship and peace in all the chaos,
Makes you reflect on life and live in the moment with all your heart.
Having splendid moments is truly a blessing,
Something to take with you and never forgetting.
And the love that comes from the wonderful food is truly a a pleasure,
To share with all the people around you is such a treasure.

We’ve been shortlisted in the ‘Inclusivity Champion Of The Year’ category at this year’s prestigious Aspire Awards. The industry magazine ‘Travel Weekly’ have recognised us for the holidays and service we’ve been providing for the last 15 years and we were delighted when they informed us of our nomination.

So, this October we’ll be joining hundreds of other travel companies at a glitz and glamour ceremony in Manchester and who knows, we may just come away with a shiny award!

It only comes around every 4 years but The Olympic Games officially starts today with the Opening Ceremony taking place on The River Seine this evening. 🎆

It seems incredible that 206 countries will be competing with some 10,500 athletes aiming for Olympic glory. And this got us thinking, how many countries has Go Beyond actually visited over the last 15 years?? We know it’s not quite as many as 206, but we’re definitely adding to our numbers every year! 📈

Just to update that our tour to Corsica is now FULL.

With all our Spain tours fully booked also, it means that we only have minimal places left for Scotland on the 26th September and Finland on the 14th October which will then complete our 2024 programme.

A wild day in the Transylvanian forest with Cosmin from Myosotique Wild. Nathan and Ian followed a river upstream, saw plenty of insects, wild flowers, birds and a beautiful lizard. Cosmin prepared a wild picnic for us, such a lovely time.

Today Nathan and Ian visited the infamous Bran Castle, home and legend of Count Dracula. Very creepy and dark atmosphere!! They both wore garlic just in case.

Ian is on a Travel Buddy holiday with Nathan in Romania. A few photos from their day out today in the beautiful city of Brasov. They started their visit in the communist museum, then up to Mont Tampa by cable car with panoramic views over Brasov. Then a visit to The Black Church and a few coffees of course.

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce some very exciting news! This September we’re off to Scotland for our ‘Magic of Film’ tour AND the short film that we produce will be entered into the prestigious Oska Bright Film Festival for 2025!

🎥 🍿 🎭 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🎭 🍿 🎥

We’ll be spending 7 days in The Eastern Highlands of Scotland coming up with ideas for our very own film or documentary that we’ll also be filming and starring in! So, if you enjoy coming up with stories, acting or just love the idea of helping create something really special then get in touch as we still have a few places left!

….. marks the 3 year anniversary since we spent a month in Dartmoor with 40 guests?

We were just coming through the other side of the pandemic and with restrictions being lifted (and international travel still being something we wanted to avoid), we opened up a full itinerary just for the UK, starting with a fabulous month in Dartmoor!

We had the most AMAZING time offering 4 different holidays….

- The Great Adventure
- Aqua Adventure
- World Cuisine
- A Different Dartmoor

Later that year we also went trekking in the Cotswolds plus we enjoyed wildlife and spooky castle experiences in Scotland!

No pandemic was going to stop us offering our supported holidays - all be it with social distancing and mask wearing when required plus endless testing! We will always remember those holidays fondly and we think these photos show, you guys will too!

We are sooooo looking forward to this one! We fly out from Gatwick and head for this gorgeous island just off the coast of Southern France.

Staying at the wonderful Hotel Castellu Rossu (just a 20 minute drive from the airport), we’ll immerse ourselves in this iconic island and all it has to offer.

Our week will include a variety of activities including hitting the coast for boat rides and kayaking experiences, exploring the breath taking mountain range with a little help from the local tourist train, as well as taking in the picturesque villages and the island’s capital Bastia and its famous Cittadelle. Northern Lights Holiday in Tromso, Norway. Tromso is often cited as one of the top places to go to see the Northern Lights. Located in northern Norway, within the Arctic Circle, Tromso sits well within the magic 'Aurora Belt', the doughnut shaped area that circles the high latitudes of our planet, giving spectacular displays of green and red ribbons streaking across the sky on clear nights. Seeing the Northern Lights is a real buzz and a wonder to witness. We have two holidays in Tromso this autumn, the first one is now sold out but we have spaces on the second week, 12th - 19th November 2023. Below is a time lapse taken by Daniel from Flexitour Tromsø during a display whilst we had a barbeque on a beach. Take a look, it is amazing.
