This weekend is the London Marathon. A time to watch elite athletes battle for the prestige of winning one of the world’s great races. A time for amateur runners to fulfil lifelong ambitions and complete this formidable challenge. And a time for the rest of us to sit watching on our sofas with a packet of biscuits and think “I really should make more effort to exercise!”

Well, every marathon begins with the smallest step. It doesn’t have to be running of course, but research has shown that even the smallest amount of daily exercise can improve both your physical AND mental condition.

Now, we wouldn’t like to suggest that here at Go Beyond we are fitness fanatics, however we definitely support the notion of daily physical activity. Jogging, swimming and walking (especially with our dogs), are high on our activity lists. And anyone who’s been on a holiday with us knows that we love getting out and about and exploring our surroundings, albeit at a nice, steady pace. We also love challenging our guests to try new pursuits and this year on our adventure holiday in Brittany, we’ll be indulging in a spot of mountain biking, archery and tree climbing. Amazing!
