This 7 night cruise onboard MV Hebridean Princess is suitable for active people without walking difficulties. However, the crew do make getting on and off the inflatable zodiacs easier by providing a mobile staircase!
One whole afternoon was spent on the beach at Sandray - swimming, paddling, sitting or going for a walk. Just look at the colour of the sea!

Gannets on Boreray, one of the four islands that make up St.Kilda in the Outer Hebrides. This is the world's largest gannet colony and there were hundreds of them flying alongside and round the ship. It was thrilling.
Marco Polo's Polly was on MV Hebridean Princess for a wonderful 7 night voyage around the Hebrides. It's a small luxury ship, with a max of 48 guests (we had 41 guests onboard).

The highlight of the voyage was St.Kilda. Almost 1 million birds nest here each summer including Puffins, Gannets, Fulmars, Great Skuas, Shearwaters and Leach's Storm Petrels. We sailed to the outer island of Boreray with it's sea stacks and huge gannet colony, where the gannets flew round the ship. It was thrilling.

Marco Polo's Polly has been reading "Love of Country : A Hebridean Journey" by Madeleine Bunting and would recommend it. Full of interesting information about the history and Gaelic culture, the author recognises the poetic appeal of these islands.

One of the few dual UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the World for it's wildlife and cultural heritage. We spent half the day on Hirta, the main island.
