I am back from an incredible weekend in Manchester. TC Conference 2024 did not disappoint.

Meeting up with old friends and new, hearing all about what is new in the world of Travel and re connecting with Supplier I already use and new ones too.

From ABBA tributes and Ibiza Symphony on Friday night in our Apres ski winter wonderland to dancing the night away with the one and only Nial Roger’s on Saturday. We also got to hear about his life on Sunday morning when he was interviewed which was fabulous. Other guest speakers, updates from our head office and my own personal favourites Jo Malone and Sara Davies from Dragons Den.

I cannot forget to mention the host for our evening events the legend that is Mr Vernon Kay!

Time to reflect today on all the weekend brought to the TC community. What a weekend!!

Tomorrow I will be heading to the 2024 Travel Counsellors Conference at Manchester Central!

It's going to be an incredible time catching up with our amazing suppliers and other Travel Counsellors. This year Travel Counsellors celebrate 30 years in the Business which in itself is worth celebrating!

I'll be catching up on all the latest travel advice and meeting with our industry partners which will help me create even better adventures for you and your loved ones.

It’s also a weekend of entertainment with surprise headlining acts and guest speakers from all walks of life.

I might be slightly slower to respond over this weekend if you do get in contact, but rest assured, if it’s urgent I’m here when you need me the most.

I will be away from my desk for general enquiries from tomorrow until Monday morning and will respond to you then.

Today I celebrate 7 years with the TC family

I love what I do and I’m thankful for the support of family, friends and customers who without you I wouldn’t be where I am today and my business would not be the success it is.

I’m celebrating with my friends who joined with me in the sunshine today in Spain ☀️, although the years have taken us in different directions our friendship and love of travel is stronger than ever 🥂

There are lots of Beach Clubs in Doha, some are affiliated with hotels where you can gain free access and are normally located close by.

They are a great way to spend the day taking in the sunshine and crystal waters with good food and drink. Music and a chilled vibe are the order of the day.

We had the pleasure of visiting the Beach house whilst we were there and myself and friend Emma even tackled the inflatables which is lots of fun for all the family.

These can be pre booked for you when you visit Doha.

The Fairmont hotel was my home for 4 nights whilst I was in Doha.

This stunning 5* hotel can be found overlooking the Arabian Gulf and is attached to the Raffles hotel as part of the Katara towers.

The hotel has 362 rooms and Suites and is contemporary and elegant.

From the moment you walk in and greeted with the stunning chandelier this hotel really does have the wow factor.

My room was on the 4th floor and overlooked part of the city and the sea. With ceiling to floor windows the view was fantastic. There are rooms with 2 doubles or a king sized bed and then suites also.

The room was huge with touch control pads operating curtains, lights and even the toilet had its own remote control!

The hotel facilities are first class from a wonderful breakfast room that offered everything you could want to a chilled vibe pool with the comfiest sunbeds and a pool bar that served light bites and tasty cocktails.

Roof top restaurants and bars of incredible designs and a spa to chill in what more could you ask for.

There are also conference facilities available at the hotel.

This really was a special hotel, well located for exploring Doha and amazing value for money at the moment.

I would 100% recommend this hotel for your trip
