Day 1 of the special shapes days at , flights were grounded due to the winds taking balloons to some awful landing spots, so we tethered the dogs in amongst some of our favourite shape friends 🐶🦄🦉🦜🐸💈🐠🎀

Usual morning shenanigans at , winds were all over the place so a lot of the special shapes pilots decided not to fly as landing was tricky and quick- lots more opportunities for photos then 📸

Some of our fave pics from yesterday morning's flight from Fiesta 🪅... Bella and Buster both headed south towards the balloon museum before boxing back and then way out north west to Rio Rancho and beyond.

Bella had a lovely slow stand up landing, with her crew enjoying some 4x4 off roading to get to her (plus the appearance of a New Mexico desert tarantula 🕷, which we didn't run over).

Buster had a speedier drag landing, the distance being given as '9 cacti'🌵, which must be an NM measurement... 🤣

Much better flying conditions this morning, even if the direction was slightly dodgy- Buster and Bella both flew crew, Bella had a street landing and had a lovely group of random people helping to pack away. We've scheduled them in for tomorrow...

Look 👀 at the number of people on the field, it's insane!

Finally got off the ground in High River this morning 👌 Paul and Ian had 'plan A' which was a hop into the fields next door, and 'plan B' which was to keep going. Needless to say, they kept going.

Sadly no flying Friday morning either due to high winds, they exceed our safe operating thresholds.

HOWEVER we are hopeful for the nightglow tonight, so come down and join us 🤞

Sadly no flying Wednesday night and Thursday morning due to the windy weather 🌬

So we all trucked off to Canmore to enjoy the mountain views. Lots of rainbows on the way but eventually the skies cleared and the Rockies showed themselves in all their glory 🌈
