Tucked deep in coniferous woods and heather hills, this cabin is off-grid escapism at its finest (last slide for the starriest nighttime skies you’ve ever seen ✨ ) No WiFi, no noise—just spellbinding views across the Stiperstones.

Wake with the sun and stretch it out on the deck, then linger over breakfast (local coffee, handmade mugs, no rush). When you’re ready, wander up to Devil’s Chair or Cranberry Rock—both steeped in Shropshire magic.

Tucked behind laurel hedges on a dreamy Suffolk smallholding, this historic Gate House is pure romantic escapism. Think sun-drenched interiors, a spiral staircase to your mezzanine kingsize bed, and an enormous rolltop bath built for two. Designed by Soho House’s former Content Director, every detail oozes laid-back luxury. Less of a getaway, more of a love story. ♥️

These aren’t your average bothies. Elevated—literally—on stilts above Cally Loch, each cabin is a one-off: colourful, conscious, and impossibly cosy. Light the fire, spot deer through picture windows, and disconnect with a flick of the WiFi switch. This is your chance to switch off and step into the ultimate Highland cabin dream 💭

Perched above the shimmering sea between the charming fishing villages of Newlyn and Mousehole, this beautifully crafted cabin is a front-row seat to Cornwall’s wild coastal beauty. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the ever-changing seascape and unspoilt views across Mount’s Bay, whether stormy swells or golden sunsets.

Outside, a deck faces towards the sea—perfect for morning coffee with a view. You’re 5 mins’ walk from foodie Newlyn and harbour swims, and 10-15 from the picture-postcard village of Mousehole, where narrow lanes wind between artisan shops, seafood spots, and hidden coves. Whether you spend your days wave-watching from the comfort of your private porch or exploring the rugged beauty of the coast, this hideaway is a love letter to West Cornwall.

Rustic-luxe has officially peaked: this is a cabin with frontier spirit and serious design cred… Just 15 mins from Tiverton station, this off-grid stunner drops you into a rewilded paradise - meadows buzzing with life, forests alive with deer, and yes, actual beavers doing their thing. Inside? HÁM-designed interiors that are all raw wood, Navajo vibes and glossy zellige tiles you’ll want to copy at home. It’s part Wes Anderson, part wilderness therapy—and totally unlike anywhere else. You’ll leave feeling rejuvenated, but a stay here offers much more, too – a chance to contribute to regenerative tourism and see how it helps wildlife, landscape and a wider community thrive. 🦫🍃

Our Insider’s Guide to Riverside Retreat 🦭

Perched on the very edge of Norwich, this huge, light filled annex is just a short drive or stroll to the best of its food scene and independent shops—but feel miles away from it all. The garden, which flows down to the river, is pure magic, with its little jetty offering a peaceful spot for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Beyond the garden, Norfolk’s countryside and the rugged beauty of the east coast beaches are just a short drive away.

A few of our insider tips below:

Walk along the green pathway into Norwich and explore the cobbled lanes of independent shops. Hannah recommends (textiles and art), .records (records), (books!). Lunch at the hip Brix & Bones.
🦭 Drive out to Horsey, park at the very old-fashioned pub and walk across the marsh to the beach with its colony of grey seals. Stop at the pub for a pint on the way back.

🌊 There’s a secret wild beach at Waxham (30 minutes’ drive), or drive a bit further to North Norfolk’s glorious coastline.

🪻Visit the beautiful lavender fields at Heacham.

✨ Sleeps 2 + 2 kids and 🐕 friendly. Read our full review and book your stay at the link in bio.

We found this fairytale 18thC thatched cottage hidden at the bottom of a lush valley, and every detail is pure storybook charm—bumpy limestone walls, timeworn beams, and inside, a traditional ‘crog loft’, where you can hide away and read books. Outside, pure peace. Nearly an acre of wild gardens hums with bees and butterflies, a medieval bridge spans the rushing river. Already plotting our return ✨

Some places linger in your mind (and heart) long after you leave—this 17thC cottage in Corfe Castle is one of them. A masterclass in understated luxury, it pairs history with Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetics: feather-filled sofas, a tadelakt bathroom, and a palette of soft, natural tones. Outside, the 1,000-year-old castle looms above, its ruins straight from a fairytale.

We spent our days roaming the Purbeck Hills, discovering secret coves, and lingering over lunch at The Pig on the Beach. Evenings? Fireside drinks and dinner under the stars (this is a Dark Skies area, and the night sky is spectacular).

But the real showstopper? Swipe to the end for that Corfe Castle view. ✨

A love letter to Bristol 💌

“A couple of weeks ago, with an M&S train picnic in tow we headed over to Bristol for the weekend.
It was my second ever time in the city; and boy oh boy did I fall in love! With humbug balconies, sorbet-coloured houses flanking the hilly landscapes and riverside and an undeniable fizz across the city that truly champions community, art and all things independent; I could have easily spent a week here (and let it be known there are *not* enough meals in the day to get through a scratch of the amazing foodie spots here). In case you’re in need of the perfect weekend break, or UK staycation I’ve popped our itinerary and guide on my blog for a nosey if you’d like to save it for a rainy (or sunny weekend) west!
(we stayed in the beautiful ‘Boho Clifton Apartments’ which was a dreamy location)”

Built for life’s simplest, loveliest moments ✨

Deep in the Somerset countryside, Craftman’s Cabin is made for making special memories. Morning coffee tastes better on the deck, sunset soaks feel like pure indulgence, and the crackle of the fire is the only soundtrack you need. A retreat designed for proper escapism—cosy, beautifully crafted, and just the right amount of wild.

Once a forgotten shell, now a sanctuary of stillness. Tucked into a quiet combe between the Quantock Hills and Exmoor, Little Combe is a place where time stretches and softens. The owner has restored this hideaway with an effortless hand, weaving original features with textural linens, rattan furniture, and wheel-thrown ceramics from a local potter. It’s simple, soulful, and deeply inviting.

Mornings begin slowly in the sleeping nook, wrapped in buttery sheets with a book in hand. Beyond the crittal doors, a wildflower meadow hums with life—deer grazing, owls gliding soundlessly at dusk. Walk the heather-clad hills, where wild ponies roam and sea views unfurl, or just stay put. With an electric Aga for slow suppers and a stack of novels to sink into, there’s no need to be anywhere but here.

Proof that great things come in small packages. These off-grid cabins may be dwarfed by the vast Dee Valley—an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty—but they pack a serious punch. Sleek design, big views, and total seclusion. Outside, buttercups, orchids, and knapweed carpet the valley, with walking trails weaving right down into Llangollen. Hike, dip in the River Dee, or just do nothing at all. Come alone, bring your dog, bring your partner. Unplug.
