From 01.11.2024 Broadsteps Cottage will no longer be available as a holiday let. We've really enjoyed running our holiday let business over the last 8 years but have decided to let it out on a short hold tenancy to a young local couple. A big thank you to all our guests who have stayed with us over the years.

Broadsteps Cottage is now available for The Brixham Pirate Festival weekend! We had booked it for ourselves to stay with our beautiful, but poorly and elderly spaniel Dudley, but sadly he died last month and we just can't bear to stay there without him, at least not for the moment. Wow, that's a lot of pirates!

A sea of Pirates at Brixham Pirate Festival today!
Just like to thank everyone for the amazing Birthday wishes today, you made my day!

Spent the last few days cleaning and re-varnishing the decking ready for the coming season. We have availability from Friday 18th March for 1 week and 2 weeks are available in April, then we are pretty booked up until the end of September, so hurry if you want to stay in a beautiful Grade II Listed Fisherman's cottage in glorious Brixham and book now!

Beautiful blue skies today in Brixham. Dudley and I enjoyed a walk around the harbour to Breakwater beach and a lovely takeaway tea from The Breakwater Bistro. Bit chilly, but lovely in the sun.

New to Broadsteps Cottage are the Cole & Lewis luxury range of lemongrass & bergamot body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Gone are the single use shampoo and bath foams that we used to supply. Now we have refillable pump bottles for your use as we try to be more environmentally friendly.

A comfortable, cosy lounge / diner awaits our guests in Broadsteps Cottage. We changed the gas fire to a Dimplex Optiflame fire and it looks lovely and gives off plenty of heat. Wow, what a windy old day it's been! Breezy but beautiful on the top deck today. Just making sure the garden furniture hasn't been blown away by ! First guests of the year arriving today hopefully the wind will have died down by then.

New look for the third bedroom in Broadsteps Cottage. The bunk beds are gone and have been replaced with upcycled painted furniture. I've added a dressing table and the room feels more spacious and bright. Broadsteps Cottage now sleeps 5 people not 6.
