The Big Butterfly Count is a UK-wide survey aimed at helping assess the health of our environment simply by counting the amount and type of butterflies we see.

Between Friday 14th July and Sunday 6th August choose a place to spot butterflies and moths. Watch for 15 minutes. Then record which species you see. Link in our bio

Get ready for the Tenth edition of Ironman Wales this Sunday 11th September 🏊🏼
This year is particularly special as we celebrate its return to Tenby, Pembrokeshire after two years.

The event will comprise a gruelling :
- 2.4 mile swim
-112 mile bike ride
-26.2 mile run

It’s always a fantastic atmosphere and lots of fun for all of the family to see.

We are proud members of the ‘David Bellamy blooming marvellous pledge for nature scheme.’ Yesterday we had a visit from one of their members, Judith. It was lovely having her positive feedback and receiving some great tips as to how to continue to conserve and provide greater opportunities to encourage more wildlife to thrive here at Timber Hill.

Here are some of the steps we are currently taking to enhance biodiversity at Timber Hill:

-Creating wildlife corridors
-Providing a variety of habitats for different species
-Providing pollinator patches with wildflower, where butterflies and other insects can feed
-setting up bird boxes
-Providing environmental information to help everyone enjoy the wildlife at our park
-Planting native trees
-Creating wetland areas such as the ponds and reservoir
-Managing green space in a way to reduce environmental impact
