On Thursday February 20th, we welcomed 37 members and 4 visitors to our first demonstration of the year by local florist Sharon Harvey, from Flair with Flowers. Sharon gave us a lovely demonstration, making six arrangements including a hand-tied bouquet, a gift box, and some arrangements suitable for a workplace or home. Sharon explained how to do each arrangement, and gave us plenty of useful tips. Our competition for members was, "Twigs, Sticks and All That", and the winners were

Tanya gave us a lovely demonstration, and several lucky people went home with one of her creations which were won in the raffle. On Thursday August 15th 2024, we were pleased to welcome National Demonstrator Lorena Dyer, whose demonstration was entitled "Are You Sitting Comfortably?". Lorena gave us a delightful demonstration, and kindly gave us permission to show one of her designs. Our monthly flower arranging competition for members was "Afternoon Tea", and we also had the usual Flower of the Month competition. Entries for these are also pictured here.
Join us next month on September 19th, when we have National Demonstrator Sue Blandford with "Mellow Magic". The competition title is "Ancient and Modern".

Come and join us for an entertaining afternoon on Thursday July18th, when we have a demonstration by Tina Miles entitled "Holidays". Doors open at 1.30pm when refreshments will be available before the demonstration, which starts at 2.00pm sharp. Refreshments are included in the entrance fee - £4 for members, £10 for visitors. Our annual membership fee is £40.
The flower arranging competition for members will be "A Summer Picnic" and there will also be the usual "Flower of the Month" competition where members can bring a lovely bloom from their garden for us all to admire.

We are looking forward to welcoming talented florist Tammy Kefford on Thursday June 20th. Doors open at 1.30pm when refreshments will be available before the demonstration which starts at 2.00pm sharp. Refreshments are included in the entrance fee - £4 for members, £10 for visitors. On Thursday May 16th, we were delighted to welcome National Demonstrator Coral Gardiner, with her demonstration entitled "Spring into Summer". Coral gave us a lovely demonstration and several lucky raffle winners went home very happy! Photos of Coral's designs are posted below. Our competition, "A Sensory Arrangement" was as usual well supported, and photos are below. Sorry we don't have the names on the photos, or the competition results for you but everyone did lovely arrangements as you can see.
