Today takes us to Glasgow city centre where we enjoy free time at leisure to explore the city. We return to our hotel to wind-down before enjoying dinner this evening with pre-dinner glass of fizz and a Gala Dinner plus disco to dance in the New Year.

After breakfast this morning we drive to the city of Edinburgh. The city is dominated by the magnificent Edinburgh Castle, an ancient fortress built on a volcanic crag. The day is free to explore the capital city of Scotland. Tonight, is our farewell dinner plus coffee/tea followed by a Quiz or Bingo.

If you are travelling to join the tour you can select the option to include your ferry travel in your booking- you will board the ferry in Gills Bay (Pentland Ferries) where you will sail to St Margarets Hope where our Coach will collect you to begin our tour.

The ferry will take approximately an hour which is enough time to grab a refreshment on the ferry before arriving at the port.

It is famous for its many half-timbered houses and its 2 mile path around the top of the red sand stone battlements. You will have plenty of time for shopping, sightseeing or simply soaking up the atmosphere. In the evening there will be more festive entertainment after dinner. If you wish to visit a local church for mass please arrange in ask at reception for details in advance.

Depart from your home area in the morning travelling to the Alexandra Hotel for 4 nights stay dinner, bed and breakfast.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗧𝗪𝗢
This morning will begin with a short walk to the Train Station where we will catch the ScotRail service heading to Mallaig. Mallaig is a historic fishing port based on the west coast of the Highlands. You can enjoy fish and chips and a stroll along the harbour where you can take in all the scenery/views the place has to offer. You might even be lucky enough to see the famous Harbour Seal! We will return to the hotel later in the afternoon. Please be aware the train will be departing around 8am approx. This may be subject to change.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘
After a leisurely breakfast we head to 'The gateway to the Isles' which is Oban. We will travel to Oban via Connal Bridge which is a cantilever bridge than Span Loch Etive. Oban has many attractions such as the Oban Distillery which was established in 1794, McCaigs Tower and the Oban War and Peace Museum. We will return home via Glencoe where we will stop for a photo opportunity.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥
Today we head for Fort Augustus where you will have free time to explore the area. Lying on the impressive 60 mile long Caledonian Canal, halfway between Inverness and Fort William, Fort Augustus offers spectacular views down Loch Ness and is a paradise for keen walkers. There is also plenty attractions including the Caledonian Canal Heritage Centre. We then return home via Spean Bridge war memorial for a photo opportunity and a possible scenic drive (weather dependant) to the Nevis Range chair lift to see views of Ben Nevis before returning home.

Our hotel for this tour is the four star Peebles Hydro Hotel. The original building was destroyed by fire and rebuilt in 1907. The hotel has a lift.

This morning we will a drive south along the Ayrshire coast making our first stop of the day in the port of Troon. We will have a chance to take this town in that is made most famous for its Golf course Royal Troon. Later we will continue on to Seaside resort of Ayr. We enjoy the afternoon here taking in the sea air and exploring this popular seaside resort. We return back to the hotel in time for our traditional Christmas dinner.

Today we make the short trip to visit the Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine. Hosts a collection of historic vessels to view alongside showcasing Scotlands ship building heritage. The rest of the day is then free for to explore Irvine at leisure.

We have free time here before continuing to Oxford, the "city of dreaming spires", home of the famous university and plenty of interesting attractions, including Oxford castle. You could also visit the covered and open markets of the city today.

Today we head to Stratford-upon-Avon, market town with more than 800 years of history, well known as the birthplace of Shakespeare. There are many attractions and things to do in the town, including a river cruise or a wide variety of museums. In the afternoon, we head to Shakespeare's Distillery for a tour and tasting. Half the group enjoy a guided distillery tour whilst half enjoy their tutored tasting of 3 of our craft Gins in our state-of-the-art Gin School ending with a refreshing Gin and Tonic.

This morning we head to Coventry, the UK City of Culture 2021!Perhaps visit the famous Coventry Transport Museum, or enjoy some retail therapy on Coventry high street or market today.
