This morning after an early morning breakfast we travel on the morning ferry from Oban over to the Isle of Mull. If you are lucky, it is possible to spot marine wildlife such as dolphins and whales on the ferry crossing. Our ferry will dock at Craignure and we take in the sights as we travel north to the colourful harbour town of Tobermory. You may recognise this harbour from appearing on the famous children TV show Balamory. We have free time to explore the colourful streets, many independent shops and a chance to obtain lunch before we return back to the mainland.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘
After enjoying breakfast today we head north to the Glencoe Visitor Centre where we will learn about the fascinating history of the area. This picturesque location has also been used in many films including Hagrid's Hut in Harry Potter so offers plenty of photo opportunities on the spectacular viewing platform. Later, we return back to Oban for free time to explore.

We depart early morning and head to the ferry terminal to set sail for Stornoway. You will have the opportunity to purchase refreshments on board. Once arriving on the Island, we will make our way to Rodel, whilst taking in the fantastic views and then have a visit to St. Clement's Church, which is said to be the 'Grandest Medieval Building' in the Western Isles. We then head for the Caladh Inn to enjoy a 2 nights stay dinner, bed and breakfast.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘
After breakfast, we head to Lewis. We start off our morning by heading to Gearrannan Blackhouse Village which gives a unique insight into Island life in a traditional thatched house village dating back to the 1800's. We then head to Carloway Broch, a type of structure only found in Scotland. Please note access to this is on an uneven path and not suitable to those with walking difficulties. We then move onto Calanais Standing Stones, an extraordinary setting of stones which dates back over 5,000 years. You will also have an opportunity to purchase refreshments at the cafe. We then return to Stornoway in the afternoon for some free time.

We depart our hotel early morning heading for the ferry terminal, where you will have an opportunity to purchase breakfast on board. We will then make the journey to the beautiful Inverewe gardens which was created in 1862 and is based on a 850 hectare estate. We will then continue to the Gairloch Hotel for a 1 night stay dinner, bed and breakfast.

This morning we join the Scotrail train on a round trip of 84 miles to Mallaig. Regarded as one of the world's great rail journeys. From views of mighty Ben Nevis the memorable journey takes us to Glenfinnan and over the famous 21 arch Horseshoe viaduct, the picturesque silver sands of Morar to Mallaig, a busy fishing port and also departure point for the ferry to the Isle of Skye. We have time for a look around the town before we catch the return train to Fort William.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥
Today we enjoy a spectacular day out to Spean Bridge and on to the Commando Memorial where we have a short break. We then travel along Loch Garry with its stunning views and on to Glen Moriston. From here we continue along the shore of Loch Ness to Fort Augustus, where the Caledonian Canal meets Loch Ness. We have time to explore, why not visit the Caledonian Canal visitor centre or perhaps obtain lunch before we return along Loch Lochy to Fort William.

Today we head north to visit Lancaster Castle. Dating back almost 1,000 years, the castle occupies a city-centre hilltop location on the site of three successive Roman forts. Described by English Heritage as "the Northwest's most important historic and archaeological monument" it has a long history associated with law and order and crime and punishment. You'll find out more about the castle's fascinating past on a guided tour. Following our visit to the castle, you'll have some time to explore Lancaster at leisure before we return to our hotel for dinner.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘
This morning we head to the 18th Century Lytham Hall-the finest Georgian House in Lancashire. It was once the ancestral home of the colourful Clifton Family, who were accused of conspiracy during the Lancashire plot to restore James II to the throne. Our guided tour tells us more of the history of the family and takes in beautiful plasterwork, Gillow furniture, and historic paintings. You'll also have to explore the mature parkland surrounding the hall. In the afternoon we'll then return to our hotel where you have time to relax and enjoy our base of Lytham St. Annes. Perhaps wander around the elegant parks and gardens or take a stroll along the restored Victorian Pier before dinner this evening.

Today we head to Lancashire's famous seaside resort of Blackpool. No trip to Lancashire would be complete without a visit to the Blackpool Tower Ballroom where you will enjoy live music from the Mighty Wurlitzer and enjoy an Afternoon Tea Experience. Maynes Holidays are up for our first awards tonight against some very stiff competition indeed, with some global and household names in the mix at The British Travel Awards 2024 held later in London.

With 82 categories including companies specialising in cruise, air travel, hotels, specialist types of holidays, destination travel companies, car hire, travel insurance and foreign exchange, airports and parking and everything else in between. The British Travel Awards is the largest awards of its kind. The winning company’s entered in this years British Travel Awards will be revealed during tonight’s gala event.

Departing from your pick up point, we head to the Ben Wyvis Hotel for our overnight stay dinner, bed and breakfast.

After a leisurely breakfast we begin our journey to Orkney where we will be sailing from Gills Bay to St. Margarets Hope. Arriving on the Island we will have a short stop at the Italian Chapel, a famous catholic chapel built by Italian prisoners during World War II. We will then make our way to our hotel via a scenic drive passing the Churchill Barriers and Scapa Flow. Arrive at the Kirkwall Hotel for a 2 night stay bed and breakfast.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘
We will begin our day heading to the Standing Stones of Stenness, the oldest henge circle in the UK dating back over 5000 years. Following onto the Ring of Brodgar a spectacular Neolithic stone circle before making our way to Skara Brae. Over 5000 years ago Skara Brae was a thriving village, this attraction allows you to step back in time and explore this Neolithic settlement. Later in the day we head for Birsay where you will have the opportunity to visit Earls Palace and see the fantastic Atlantic coastline.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥
Today you can enjoy a free morning in Kirkwall at your leisure. Early afternoon we will head for Stormness a town boasting heritage and history, enjoy free time here for the afternoon.

After breakfast, we will depart the hotel via a scenic drive to the ferry.

After breakfast we head for a circular trip to the tranquil fishing town of Ullapool passing along some of the most dramatic scenery in Scotland. Returning in the evening for a late evening meal.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘
We depart and head to the ferry terminal to set sail for Stornoway. Once arriving on the Island, we will make our way to Rodel, whilst taking in the fantastic views and then have a visit to St. Clement's Church, which is said to be the 'Grandest Medieval Building' in the Western Isles. We then head for the Cabarfeidh to enjoy 2 nights stay dinner, bed and breakfast.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥
After breakfast, we head to Lewis. We start off our morning by heading to Gearrannan Blackhouse Village which gives a unique insight into Island life in a traditional thatched house village dating back to the 1800's. We then head to Carloway Broch, a type of structure only found in Scotland. Please note access to this is on an uneven path and not suitable to those with walking difficulties. We then move onto Calanais Standing Stones, an extraordinary setting of stones which dates back over 5,000. You will also have an opportunity to purchase refreshments at the cafe. We then return to Stornoway in the afternoon for free time.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘
We depart our hotel early morning heading for the ferry terminal, where you will have an opportunity to purchase breakfast on board. We will then make the journey to the beautiful Inverewe gardens which was created in 1862 and is based on a 850 hectare estate. We will then continue to the Ben Wyvis hotel for a one night stay dinner, bed and breakfast.

Departing from the hotel we head for home via drop off points.
