Glenys and I are just back from a lovely day out with some tour guests on the West Cornwall Tour, 'Soldiers, Miners and Fairies'.
"Oh we have been to the UK before," one couple mentioned "and have some bank notes from then."
At the coffee stop in Gweek he produces the notes.
The pound note was last printed in 1984.

⚠KWT ADVISORY FOR CAMPERS⚠

Good evening.

This week, we have a series of lows pushing in bringing a very unsettled week. The first of the lows is expected on Monday.

Therefore, it would be wise to be prepared by
putting away anything that's outside, ensuring any gazebos or awnings are fully tied-down or removed, and
pack away any garden furniture, children's toy's outside, particularly when the rain comes.

We are expecting some possible torrential downpours, which could lead to localised flooding, large areas of standing water, making any feilds very muddy and slippery, also the risk of thunder. The wind speeds are expected to fluctuate, during any downpours, these could have sudden gusts at times especially tomorrow increasing up to possibly 40+mph at times.

We will keep you updated on the page with the latest updates and look out for our forecasts.

Where has The Little White Taxi been today?
It's a fairly well known spot, so no prizes for guessing.
Glenys and I have been doing a hotel transfer for John today.
John is visiting from Washington and has had a few days in Penzance. Glenys and I collected him from there and took him to his next port of call via a bit of a drive around.
We saw The Merry Maidens, St. Just, The Crowns at Botallack, Lavant mine, Men an Tol, Zennor Church and St. Pirans oratory.
And to think that John's travel agent suggested he get the train!

No prizes for guessing what Glenys and I are doing tomorrow.
I have more photographs of Glenys in her wedding dress than any other occasion.
She looks absolutely amazing when prepared for a wedding.
I put this mostly down to Helen Collier, AKA The Kings Hill Florist.
Without Helens help my floral arrangements would look, err, "meh".

Are you planning your holiday?
Why anyone would want to leave Sunny Kernow is a mystery to me, but Glenys and I do not judge!
If you ask Glenys and I to take you to the airport, railway station or dock and bring you back again we'll keep an eye on your home whilst you are away.
We'll swing by your home every couple of days just to make sure all is well.
If your home is in the Bude area, we'll do this as a courtesy. If you are a little further afield or would like us to look in every day, a modest fee will apply.
We'll be happy to hold a key, go in and check all is well, bring in parcels, water the plants and turn a light on.
I hold a clear DBS (criminal record check) which you are welcome to inspect.

So a day or three ago the telephone rang.
"Do you do Proms?" was the question.
Of course Glenys and I do proms!
Proms and any other special occasion you can put a name to and some you cant.
With our boutique hire service just as much care is taken with the preparation as with a wedding.
Glenys and I arrive immaculately turned out with a bucket of chilled wine in the ice bucket. (Alcohol free wine for occasions where alcohol is inappropriate.)
The Little White Taxi is exclusively yours for the duration of the hire and I don't take other bookings for the evening, so there's no time pressure.
Proms, special dates, marriage proposals, girls/boys nights out, valentines night and anything else you can think of.
