It’s a scorcher today ☀️

As of 2pm, Bude in Cornwall has reached 34.2C making it the hottest day on record for Cornwall. The previous record of 33.9C was at Ellbridge on June 28, 1976.

Currently, the hottest place in the South West is Bude - it was 30.7°C by 11am but just before 1pm, the mercury topped 32°C.

We can't wait for this weekend! Saturday, 16 July sees the Sealed Knot's living history camp and skirmishes, and Sunday, 17 July is our family Heritage Day The Castle Bude, Café, Galleries and Heritage Centre Just to make clear that the only cancelled event on account of the heatwave forecast is the dog show, which was due to take place on Sunday. Everything else is on, as planned. See you at the weekend 🛡️⚔️😃
