golden sands and pebbly rock pools (ideal for exploring with kids of all ages) and excellent surfing opportunities. Bude itself is only 5 miles away and is a traditional unspoiled seaside town. The main beach at Bude has one of the very few remaining sea pools in the country. Further field Tintagel, Padstow and Newquay are all within an hour's drive south and Barnstaple, Clovelly and Bideford to the north are also within easy driving distance and worth a visit.

Many of you have stayed on Penstowe Park over the years.
There are currently plans to build residential housing on existing car parks, destroying enormous swathes of trees and parkland.
If you feel able to add your objections I would be extremely grateful.

The breathtakingly beautiful Bude Sea Pool is ranked as one of the top 5 places to swim in the UK. Even that ranking does not do it justice really.
