He has played all over the world, including all the major UK jazz venues including Ronnie Scott's, The 100 Club, Bulls Head at Barnes, The 606 Club and Pizza Express.

He has been a member of The John Burch Octet, Derek Nash's Sax Appeal and the Jack Bruce Blues Explosion. Martin has also backed such singers as Neil Sedaka, Tom Jones, Petula Clark and most recently Lance Ellington. He has shared the stage with the cream of British Jazz musicians including Pete King, Mark Nightingale, Bruce Adams, Alan Barnes, Jim Mullen, Martin Shaw and Nigel Price. Martin runs a duo/trio and quartet. He has been heard on Jazz FM, Radio 3 and has recorded over 12 albums.

WINNERS: Judges had a tough task deciding which holiday photographer took the crown when it came to Gwelmor's pet pooch portrait competition.
All guests visiting Gwelmor in 2024 were invited to enter our competition to win a weekend return stay by capturing their beloved pets enjoying their holiday with us in north Cornwall.
We previously published some of the entries we received but today it's time to reveal the winner. So tough was the decision on the final two, we decided to offer a runner up prize too. So, in second place was Alex with her picture of Robin & Casper enjoying their evening walk at sunset. You win a 15% discount code.
But the winner of a free weekend stay at Gwelmor is Karen with this stunning shot of Verne enjoying play time on our wonderful beach. Congratulations.

Their prize would be an out of season return visit to us in 2025.
We had a great collection of images and it was a tough call for our judge.
