🐄 Bockety Barn Recommedation 🐄

If you are visiting Cromer while staying here, than we can highly recommend No.1 at Cromer for fish and chips.
Either downstairs in the takeaway, or upstairs in the restaurant where booking is required.

Probably some of the best Fish and Chips we have ever had!
Oh, and order a portion of their tartar sauce! 🤤

East Ruston Old Vicarage is on Gardeners World tonight!

And Bockety Barn is just a 5 minute drive away from these beautiful gardens!

Perfect for a visit whilst staying here! 👌🏼

You all asked for it, so here it is!
🐄 🍪 🐄

Bockety Barn Spiced Oat and Fruit Cookies!

250g Softened Butter
165g Light Brown Sugar
100g Caster Sugar
1 Egg
1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
180g Self Raising Flour
1Tsp Salt
2 Tsp Ground Mixed Spice
255g Jumbo Oats
130g Mixed Dried Fruit

●Pre-heat your oven to a medium temperature

●Cream butter and sugars until combined

●Add egg and vanilla and mix again

●Add flour, salt and spices, mix to combine

●Add oats and dried fruit, again mix to combine

●Add a drop of milk if cookie mix is too dry, it should be firm but mouldable

●Roll dough and shape cookies to desired size

●Bake in a medium oven for around 12 - 15 minutes or until set and a pale golden colour.

●These cookies do spread a bit whilst baking.

●Remove from oven, leave on baking tray for 5 minutes, then put on a wire rack until cool and serve.

●Optional: dust cooled cookies with icing sugar

●This recipie will make 12 large sized cookies

Poppylands 1940's tea room

We absolutely love Poppylands!

They do an amazing Afternoon Tea here ( you will need to book ahead,)..and the level of 1940s decor is just fantastic, there's so much to see and look at, plus the little shop on site is just adorable and full of quirky items! ☕️🍰🧁☕️

If you like history, then it's a must. 👌🏼

Poppylands is also perfectly situated near the Horsey seal viewing site. 🦭

One of our favourite places near by is Vera's where they do
Brilliant breakfasts and the home made cakes are delicious! 😋👌🏼

Also worth a visit to the garden centre and farm shop, where we purchase our hamper items from! 💁🏼‍♀️
