Finally, I have gathered the courage and confidence to write about the final chapter of Highwaymans.

Rewind 15 years ago ; armed with 3 sons under the age of 3 and a business plan; moved into Highwaymans and from the ground up opened a small hotel; that grew over the years into a thriving operation; welcoming all kinds of guests, events, celebrations and even gave birth to two more babes in the front living room.

It has been a true privilege and pure humility with the highs and lows of running a business, the ebbs and flows of finances, the political polarizations, and economic challenges, I honestly could not make up the stories of the encounters. I could however write a book!!!

The last few years; have been particularly testing; family complexities, navigating personnel issues; pandemic; house fire; insurance claim; isolation; business adaption; job role with the NHS; swimming against the tide whilst keeping the show on the road.

So this weekend; with the finalities of giving away; Facebook market place; recycling and skip clearance; the final curtain is called.

Bless your life let it be an extension of your state of being giving new life to your life

Bless your past that it turns into wisdom

Bless your future; that it only be filled with opportunity and adventure.

Bless that challenges in your life; may they initiate you into greatness.

The compass is polished and ready; trusting the direction where it is taking me next; prepared and fuelled with choice, purpose, focus, faith, patience, love, endurance, perception, essences of suffering and testing, sharpness, and some wisdom.

Dear friends,

We are very saddened to tell you that Highwaymans suffered significant fire damage yesterday evening. Consequently, Highwaymans is closed for the time being but hopes to re-open in a couple of weeks.
Rest assured that everyone is safe and well. Juliet and her family are so grateful for the well wishes, kindness, and supplies which have been so thoughtfully given by all of you.
