The Monsal Trail runs for 8.5 miles from Bakewell to Chee Dale, passing through some of the Peak District’s most incredible landscapes 🌳

Perfect for cyclists, walkers, horse-riders, pushchairs and wheelchair users - the Monsal Trail follows a former railway line and is accessible for all 🚴‍♂️🐴

The Ladybower plug holes in overflow are a breathtaking sight to behold 🤩

These spillways are effectively drains and are used to regulate the water levels at Ladybower Reservoir, with the excess water flowing down through tunnels into the River Derwent.

In the heart of the Peak District’s Upper Derwent Valley, the reservoir is surrounded by great walks too 🌿

Lovely Lathkill Dale!

This 4 mile, circular walk is perfect for this time of year. Watch spring bloom as you stroll through a National Nature Reserve 🦋🌳🌷
