Challenge on ❤️ I’m going to do a 50km Sahara Trek!
As many of you know Blythe House is a charity very close to my heart ❤️
In order to do the trek I need to fundraise £1850 for Blythe House Hospicecare and Helen's Trust.
This money could provide so much help and comfort to many people and their families with end of life care.
Which I know first hand is absolutely incredible, so for this reason I will do whatever I can to raise money for this wonderful charity….including trekking the Sahahra!
My adventure begins March 20th – 25th March 2025.
On this Moroccan adventure I will be scaling vast sand dunes, and crossing ancient river beds, traverse wide plains and be awed by breath-taking sunsets. Each night I will sleep in traditional campsites and fall asleep under a blanket of stars.
During my trek Berber guides will offer insights into the way the nomadic people survive in the inhospitable desert environment.
The Sahara is the world hottest desert with record temperatures exceeding 50 degrees, during the trip temperatures should be 35°C during the day and drop to around 0°C at night. Weather during the trek will be dry but there may be some strong winds. Rain, although very rare, is not impossible.
To get to and from the desert requires long drives (approx. 9 hours including breaks) along winding mountain roads which offer stunning views of the snow-capped peaks and lush valleys.
It’s going to be a once in a lifetime adventure, one which I am going to need everyone’s help and support with fundraising over the summer months.
I will keep you all posted on my progress & any fundraising events I organise for this amazing charity.
If any of you lovely people would like to donate to get me started on my fundraising journey please click on the link, I would be very grateful xx
