🌞In the field, where summer's begun... Buttercups bloom, basking in the sun
🌞Golden petals, shining so bright
A beautiful sight, oh what a delight!
🌞Their sweet scent fills the air
As gentle breezes sway with care
🌞A sea of yellow, reflecting the light... Oh how they twinkle, so pure and bright.
🌞Nature's wonder, in this canvas of green Buttercups dancing, oh what a scene!
❤️A breathtaking sight, for all to see... A joyous moment, just you and me.

Bunting, what a topic! Let's talk about bunting, the most exciting thing since sliced bread.
So apparently, bunting comes from the Middle English word "bonten," which means to sift or filter. Great, now I can't stop picturing bunting as a big' filter collecting all the dust and dirt in the air. Yum, nothing like a festive decoration that also serves as an air purifier.
But seriously, who decided that a bunch of triangular or rectangular pieces of fabric strung together was the height of party decor? I mean, sure, it looks cute, but can you imagine all the time and effort it takes to cut those little triangles and rectangles? And then you have to string them together in some sort of coherent pattern?
But hey, I'm not here to rain on anyone's bunting parade, here at the Six Litton Mill - we have some red white and blue plastic of today flapping about thanks to one of our Royalist neighbours!

❓Why does water flow under a mill?
❗️Because it's like having a personal power plant!
💦 The water rushes in, hits the water wheel or turbine, and voila! Instant energy to power all the cool machinery inside. Water mills have been around for ages, and they're still chugging away in some parts of the world today.
When you stay at Litton Mill - pop around the back - Litton Mill's wheel is no longer working but you can still see the water rush from under the Mill building around the back before it joins again with the River Wye.
