WHAT AM I LIKE

I retired when I was 68 and I am now 72. My typing seemed okay for a while. As time passed I got much worse and I did have Carpel Tunnel in both hands. So what with old age and too much typing through most of my working life, I could no longer make any kind of living at home which involved typing.

As you will all appreciate that making ends meet is very difficult for many people at the moment and it is looking as though thing will get a lot worse before they get better. So I was looking for a job I could maybe do at home but obviously one that did not involve using a keyboard.

Anyway I found a job that would take a lot of studying but that was something I could do. So I started at the end of July. Studying was not my problem but actively getting people who I could explain my studying to was not that easy. I was never a sales person. However I soon came to realise that I would have to do what I am attempting to do now to get off the ground never mind fly. With my figure I could never get off the ground.

I was about to give up and then I saw some of these gaming keyboards when looking for stationery. They were expensive and I tried to get one without lights. My Grandson said that they were mechanical keyboards. They were not really me and the keys were "funny". Anyway I was looking for a stapler and came across that looked like one I had years ago where the keys could be removed individually. They looked just like I used to use in the office and they were well under £100. I bought it. Then found out that it was not mechanical.

Anyway, here I am giving it a try and I am not doing too bad. Not as good as my working days but now I am back to doing it without looking as the keys are now the right distance apart for me. I always thought that it was because of my age and illnesses that I could not type and all I needed was the RIGHT KEYBOARD!!

Sorry to blab on but I am really over excited. Right now all I have to do is 😞 Oh forgot to mention that this is my little one eyed rescue dog, Jessica who lives with me and keeps me going. Thanks to anyone who stayed with me until the end xx
