It’s been a busy closed period with a few little upgrades here and there, keep your eyes peeled for some new additions. 😉 We still have a little prep work to get everything ready for our 2024 guests and will reopen Lily Pad Lodge and Cân Yr Afon in a few weeks time. (Willow Falls is still under renovation and we will keep you updated on its progress) Until then if you haven’t booked a get away with us yet and would like to for 2024, then now is the time to do it with 10% off all stays booked between now and the end of March. 🦜🦋 Pili Palas 🦋🦜 Haven’t been here since my boys were tiny so thought it was about time we returned. Still a great day out! 💷Price was £39.95 for a family of 4 (2ad + 2ch) Booking online is requested during school holidays to stop the park getting too busy at any one point. My favourite place by far was the butterfly house, I could spend hours in there watching the butterflies dance away (make sure you take a t-shirt though as it’s very warm and humid inside). As well as the butterflies, there is a reptile area, bug area, farmyard and pet area, with pigs, donkeys, Goats, Chickens, Guinea pigs and rabbits and not forgetting the meerkats. There are bug, reptile and pet talks throughout the day, where they get specific bugs/pets/reptiles out of their enclosures so you can hold, pet and learn more about them. They also have meerkat feeding times twice during the day too. A lovely little cafe too or take a picnic, there are plenty of picnic benches by the park area and some are even undercover. 🏰 Caernarfon Castle and Sky Ride 🏰 We thought we’d see Caernarfon castle from a whole different view point by riding the Sky Ride. We were not disappointed as not only did we see the castle from a Birds Eye view but also, the Snowdonia Mountain range and across to Anglesey too. You get 3 go’s round and it is priced at £6 for adults (and those over 1.4m) and £4 for children (under 1.4m). We used our CADW membership to get into Caernarfon Castle completely free of charge. (Don’t forget if you shop at Tesco, you can double up clubcard points for a CADW membership which will allow entry into most of Wales’ castles free of charge) The new areas above the Kings gate have been brilliantly designed for everyone to be able to access the upper levels of the castle and there is also a great cafe inside too. 🪩 Glan Gwna’s Poolside Bar 🪩 By day it is the place to be, beside the pool, cold drink in hand and sun in the sky. By night, the Poolside Bar comes alive, with an array of entertainment like fabulous Bingo with Bill (always a laugh), various musical artists, plus comedy and kids shows at the weekend. Filled with great atmosphere and friendly staff as well as; “Happy Hour” every Friday 4pm-6pm, Burger and Pint Night every Tuesday, Family Games Night on a Thursday and Acoustic Nights on a Monday. There really is something for everyone.🕺🏼

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 The Welsh Highland Railway 🚂 What an experience!!! If you get chance to…….do it!! Around a 5 hour trip (1 1/2 hours there, 1 1/2 hours in Beddgelert and then 1 1/2 back) travelling on the Gelert Explorer. A thoroughly relaxing journey from Caernarfon, through Snowdonia/Eryri to Beddgelert (Porthmadog is also available on select days) and what’s more, for £2, the pooches can join you too. We took a picnic with us but there is a refreshment cart that pops round through the journey with light snacks and drinks and the staff were really friendly. You can also order hampers and picnic boxes before your journey too to enjoy onboard. The views are unlike anything else I have seen, absolutely breathtaking and out of this world, it almost doesn’t look real. The photos just don’t do it justice. A spectacular way to travel and see Snowdonia from a whole new angle. Note* if you visit North Wales often, it may be worth looking into becoming a member of the Welsh Highland Railway Society. Membership cost us £77 for 2 adults and 2 children and runs from March-March. Who is brave enough to try this….? 🫣😬😉 VELOCITY 2 The UK’s longest and the worlds fastest zip line….and better still, you can do it with a friend or 2!!!! Flying 500 meters in the air and reaching speeds of up to 100mph while soaking up the breathtaking views of Penrhyn Quarry. Around 20 mins from our accommodations and with even more thrill seeking adventures at the same site such as Aero Explorer Quarry Karts Quarry Tour and Quarry Flyer Zip World also have 2 other sites, Blaenau Ffestiniog and Betws Y Coed both of which are within easy reach of our accommodations and with a range of adventures just waiting to be taken on.
