Wishing you all the very best for the new year.

As you may have noticed, my social media activity is often rather limited!! So rather than trying to do two pages badly, I'm going to concentrate on Latitude 534, which myself and my old friend Pete Marshall got up and running last year.

Thanks for all your support and looking forward to heading out to the hills and the crags with you in 2020

Success on the Aiguilles du Diable today. We had excellent conditions and stunning weather (there was a bit of planning involved, not just luck). These are our most technical summits so far. Loved every minute of the climbing.

Including, Mont Blanc du Tacul that gives us six summits today putting us on 40 (out of 82). Tantalisingly close to half way!

After 5 years, today was my last day with the wednesday walking group. My days out with these adults, despite their different abilities and needs, have been some of my most memorable days on the mountains and beaches of North Wales.

It is so frustrating to see projects like this being drained of funding at the same time that our increasingly sedentary society makes all of us vulnerable to loneliness, anxiety, depression and so many other health problems. Wide open spaces give us the room to breathe, and access to them is so desperately needed by the most vulnerable in our society, and indeed by all of us.

But I remain privileged for all that we have overcome, discovered and laughed about together.
