What a day to end the summer holidays 🥰.
If you're ever in the neighbourhood it's an absolute must!
Black Rock Sands is a fantastic beach about 35-40 minute drive from the chalet and is a perfect place for a day out.
Parking is on the actual beach and is £8 a day, and because of that you can load your car with anything that you might need to set up a day camp 🙃.
Camping tables, chairs, pop up tents, and water sports equipment could be seen everywhere. The beach has a designated section for dog lovers and there's no need to leave your pooch behind 🐾🐾
Absolutely worth the extra drive, especially when you have children and you want to keep them busy on a budget 😀

We always try and post some positive stories here, unfortunately this time we haven't got the best news.
Over the last few seasons we have been working very hard to make our chalet a comfortable place to stay, a home away from home if you like and it's with regret that we have to say that recently our beautiful lodge was disrespected by our guests and it took a lot of effort to bring it back to normal.
As most of you know, we accept one small or medium sized dog, we don't charge for dogs, we don't have a cleaning fee, all we ask is (or now was) a small security deposit of £50.
When someone books with us, it's a part of the booking process to accept our Terms and Conditions and whilst most of our guests adhere to them, on this occasion several were broken including:
Bringing two dogs instead of one,
Leaving the dog unattended at the property,
Allowing the dog on the beds,
Not reporting damages to us,
Leaving the property in an unacceptable condition.
The dog was left on its own for more than 7 hours. Can you imagine how stressful it can be for a dog to be left on its own in an unfamiliar place?
The dog was barking in distress, we had a report from worried neighbours. It was going mad at the chalet.
Though it could have been much worse, as a result of this irresponsible behaviour from the dog's owners and their total disregard for our house rules, our vertical blinds were damaged and needed to be taken down and replaced with net curtains (the only thing we could have done before the arrival of our next guests).
The floor and the rug were urinated on and our towels used to wipe it dry.
The guests after getting back from their day out, packed and left even though their departure was scheduled for the day after. No effort was made to clean the property. These pictures are just a little taste of what we came into.
We had to put extra hours into cleaning the lodge, extra time to take the blinds down, shopping for net curtains and putting them up, as well as washing the rug.
It goes without saying that the £50 damage deposit didn't cover even the half of the additional expenses we had to make to sort everything out.
And though we really don't want to do that, in order to protect ourselves a bit better, we will be increasing our damage deposit to £100 with immediate effect.

It's been quite wet today in the area so we've decided to visit Caernarfon Air Museum which is only a short drive away from the chalet.
It's a great place for grown ups and children where you can have a go at sending your own message using Morse code or sit in one of the planes.
Entry is £7 - adult, £5 - children, £20 - family (2a, 2c).
