An AMAZING turn out yesterday from everyone who came along to support the Caernarfon County's campaign for CAFC 2025. A BRILLIANT crowd of people, who created a WONDERFUL atmosphere. You smashed it 💪🥳🥳. The Welsh Whisperer and of course Sion Corn were superb!

Thank you for coming along to Gypsy Wood. The atmosphere on park was wow🙏.

Thank you to my girlie's and their friends for working (slave labour at it's best oops)😜. I don't think when Karen agreed to help she knew quite how many burgers she was going to have to fry 😅.

Our tractor has been decorated ready for tomorrow's RWAS Caernarfon Festive Tractor Run. Unfortunately I have been warned to not post any sneaky pictures 🙄🤣.

All the tractors will be leaving Dinas Dinlle at approximately 4pm, with Sion Corn on his Sleigh🎅.

They will be arriving at Gypsy Wood around 6.30pm.

See estimated timings below.

If you want to come along to Gypsy Wood and say Hiii to Sion Corn on his sleigh and see all the tractors lit up for their final stop, then please pop down and show your support🙏. There is NO entrance fee. Any donations to the tractor run will, of course be welcomed.

Royal Welsh merchandise will also be available to buy on the night at the park.

It's a Saturday night, why not wonder down, the kids will love to see all the bright lights, say Hii to Sion Corn, the adults can have a sneaky beer by the fire with friends whilst the kids enjoy a toasted marshmallow yummy 😋.

The cafe will be serving hot dogs and burgers.

Open from 5.30pm.

All park attractions are closed.

This is a fundraising event not organised by Gypsy Wood. We are just lucky that we could be the final stop🥳☺️.

RWAS Caernarfon Festive Tractor Run.

Guess what........The BIG Man himself Sion Corn will be coming back to Gypsy Wood with ALL the tractors on Saturday evening 🎅. We are soooooooo excited. It is going to be a display worth seeing.

They will be arriving at Gypsy Wood approximately 6.30pm. Track Santa here👇.

Let's not forget why the event is being held. Caernarfonshire will be hosting the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show 2025 🥳. Any donations will be very welcomed 🙏🙏. Let's make this fundraising event a BIG success 💪.

We have heard that the competition for the winner of the best decorated tractor is fierce😜🤣.

The RWAS Caernarfon Festive Tractor Run will be held THIS SATURDAY 30th November. They will be starting at Dinas Dinlle airport approx 4pm, stopping at the Castle Square and finishing here at Gypsy Wood, time to be confirmed.

Why not come along, show your support, see the amazingly decorated tractors. Our cafe will be open serving hot dogs, burgers and yummy pulled pork nachos. Even better the bar will be open 😋.

Get into the Christmas spirit starting this weekend, see all the tractors lit up, beer and a burger by a warm fire, happy days 🥳.

Note: park attractions will not be open. Only the cafe & bar.

Christmas Spirit and Kindness

We have had some lovely messages recently, asking if we are open this year for Christmas 2024.

Unfortunately, we have made the decision to not open this year.

There are a few reasons why we came to this decision, and we aren't saying never again, but for this year, we want to spend precious time with our little family, the girls are growing so fast!

On reflecting about last year's Christmas experience here, I remember that we were blessed with some amazing visitors and some lovely feedback.

Sadly we were also sent one or two emails that were not so nice, and so instead of focusing on the fun of Christmas, I ended up focusing on the real rude and negative feedback I had. At the time, friends and family tried to tell me to "remember the good ones" and "you won't please everyone" and "let them be angry, just rise above it", which I really tried to, but as someone who puts her heart and soul into her business, sadly, it's the negative and nasty comments that kept me awake at night and played in a loop around my head. These are the ones that are soul destroying.

The reason I wanted to write this post, is because although we aren't open for Christmas, we know lots of businesses like our own who are busy getting ready to open their doors for Christmas events. The pressure is on to get everything perfect, not only to make it amazing for visitors, but also to make it financially viable. That pressure is HIGH.

I 100% know we will never please everyone and I completely agree that we all have a right to complain if something isn't right. However, based on my experiences of last year, if you attend a Christmas event and are not happy, please stop and think before pressing send on a horrible email. The person at the other end is only human (you have no idea what they might have going on) and has guaranteed been working so hard to get their venue open, usually spending time away from loved ones. Complaints can be constructive, they really don't need to be rude.

This time of year always feel waaaay to quiet without anyone on park. The horses and Neli however, are loving having free rain of the place 😜. The sheep, hmmmm not so keen on Neli being back on animal duties😅.

Where has the last 10 nights gone. We hope you all had as much fun as we did🤣. Watching some of your reactions to Mr Scarecrow has been priceless!

We say it every time BUT we really do appreciate everyone who came to visit us and supported our Halloween Event🥳.

Of course, it goes without saying........thank you to Ricardo the Pirate, Gaelle, Hulk, Scary Mr Scarecrow hehe and of course the rest of our awesome Gypsy Wood team. You did it guys 💪🫶.

Now, it is time to take down that dreaded webbing (thank you Anti Delyth for putting it all up 😆). We are NOT going to miss getting tangled up in that every night😬.
