Nothing beats a sup on Loch Venachar.
We love heading out in the evening when it’s quiet - you literally have the loch to yourself.
You can launch directly from our jetty at the end of the garden and moor there when you’re done.
The jetty is also a pretty special place to watch the sunset and have a well earned beer or two.

Our lodges are fortunate to be right on the banks of the beautiful Loch Venachar, so you can enjoy the spectacular views of loch life, from the 🦆 that swim past to the geese that fly over it.
It’s captivating and so relaxing to watch the ripples as they change with the weather. It can be glass like one minute and wavy the next.
We’re fortunate to be near many other beautiful lochs, such as Loch Venachar, Loch Lubnaig, Loch Achray and Loch Katrine.

With the awesome Dukes Weekender tickets about to go on sale this Wednesday at 7pm, we thought we'd share a clip of some of the fantastic trails right here in Gravelfoyle.
The North Venachar Loop is one of our favs and can be accessed right from our front door.
If you fancy getting some practice in before the event, drop us a line - we'd love to have you stay with us.
We have a bike store, bike wash and a couple of amazing hot tubs to sink into after a day in the saddle.
Hot showers on demand, wood burning stove, bbq, washing machine and a gorgeous garden right next to the loch.
If you need a hand plotting any routes, then let us know; we've ridden pretty much every one of them.
Earlier in the week, the white stuff fell upon us and we awoke to a magical winter wonderland. It lasted for a day and enveloped LVL in a blanket of white fluffyness 🥰 Hot tubs, negronis, Boxing Day dips, snow men and cosy log fires we made the most of it.

It’s been such an amazing first year for us at LVL and we can’t thank you all enough for your support, encouragement, follows, shares and for booking with us.

Ran, swam, sailed, SUPed, hiked, cycled, climbed and explored our surroundings
Enjoyed outstanding sunsets and sunrises
Gazed at the stars
Sank into a few hot tubs
And had the best time ever
We can’t wait to do it all again with you next year!

Cycling in The Trossachs - Loch Venachar Lodges
There’s sooo much outstanding cycling to be had around Loch Venachar, all right from our doorstep.
Whether you’re a lycra clad roadie ready to bash out some serious mileage, a trail or gravel rider ready to explore the off beaten tracks or a mountain biker ready to tackle some mega technical trials and mountains - we have it all.
The Gravelfoyle trails provide the best gravel riding in the UK (fact), with over 200 miles of single and wide tracked gravel tracks. Stick to the waymarked trails or head further afield to Ben Lomond or on a wee bike packing overnight adventure. We’re just along from the famous Route 7, Cycle Network, which takes in some of the most breathtaking scenery in the UK.
Around Loch Katrine via the Dukes Pass offers unrivalled road riding routes.
For mountain bikers, the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park in Aberfoyle has some of the trickiest and steepest off piste trails ready to test your skills. Just up the road is Balquhidder with an amazing network of locally built trails and our nearby mountains offer some big day epic riding.
Families are well catered for with a local bike park in Aberfoyle and Endura Life Cycles and some easy cycle paths nearby. For those new to the sport there are also e-bikes for hire locally and paved, car free paths next to Loch Katrine.
If you don’t have your own bike, there’s loads of bike hire shops nearby – so there’s no excuse!
And it goes without saying, there’s no better place to kick back after a ride than one of our hot tubs.
