The Warren House Inn is the highest inn in South West England and was built in 1845 to service the five surrounding tin mines. It’s fire has been burning non-stop since then and today it’s owned by the Duchy of Cornwall. It has no mains utilities so runs on two generators and gets its water from a well. Famous for its rabbit pie due to the large number of warrens close by. Very friendly place with great food and service!

Beautiful Golden girl Frida has been coming to stay since she was 9 months old. She’s now 11.5yrs and is the same sweet girl we’ve always known. Islay is our own 12.5yr old Flatcoat and an old friend of Frida’s ❤️

If you’re down Portscatho way, the beach is beautiful, water sparkling and Simon Stallard’s Hidden Hut is great food.

Beautiful Bandit has been staying for a few days - she's a 13yr old Siberian Husky with the gentlest of character, friendly and approachable. She was quite happy to lie in the sun and have a sniff around the garden. We hope she'll be back with her lovely family.

Our local farm shop Tre Pol Pen has a great range of local product, a deli, butchery (their own beef) and range of fresh breads and cakes. They also have a super cafe open all day. On the road to Launceston, 15 mins. You’ll love it!

If you park at the Quay car park at Cothele (Nat Trust) you can take the path from the car park all the way to Calstock where you’ll find a great pub lunch at the Tamar Inn. Dogs loved it!
