The leaves may be falling at Reskadinnick but we continue to welcome guests and their dogs all year.
Enjoy the gardens and quiet Cornish beaches. After a day exploring return to your cottage with underfloor heating and wood burner stove to snuggle-up while you read a book or watch a film.

'A great place to explore. I am biased as I grew up around here but the location is fantastic. A 5 minute drive and you are on the North Cliffs and within 10 minutes the beaches of Portreath, Godrevy and Gwithian. Nicola is lovely and will message all details before the stay. My partner loved the place and she said she would return almost as we first walked through the door. Puggis Hill is just off the A30 but you can't hear the road noise as you are positioned within the Red River valley.'

It's a misty day in Cornwall but we are enjoying a lovely walk in Porthleven followed by delicious fresh seafood lunch.
Popped into shoal brewery to try several of their locally brewed beers.

We always knew our local beach was special and it’s been voted best beach in the UK!

Walking Monty this evening we were excited to see the new beach bar at North Quay had opened.
The views across the estuary are stunning and perfect for watching the sunset.
With an exciting menu and dogs welcome Gilbert’s is another great local business for our guests to visit

We enjoyed a dog walk at low tide on Portreath beach this afternoon, just ten minutes away. Due to an unfortunate last-minute cancellation, from tomorrow morning, we have nine days free in Junipers. We headed out to the North Cliffs last night to hopefully see the aurora borealis, Cornwall put on a beautiful show.
Then back to Reskadinnick and the house looked stunning against the colourful sky.

Liz & Robert took a break from cleaning the pool and gardening to check on the Geese at the ponds.

Today we had a visit from the environment agency to check the ponds, first step to having the trout back.

The bluebells are looking great and Maria has just seen that the goslings have hatched.

Spring has arrived at last.

'A glorious few nights in a perfect cottage; set within the grounds of a beautiful house and grounds. The attention to detail in the cottage was second to none. The decor, the furnishings, the bedding, the cleanliness, the arrival gifts, the towels! Even the toilet paper was amazing! I would wholeheartedly recommend Red River Cottages. We will be back in the summer because I have to get in the pool!!! '

All our guests have arrived so we have taken Monty for a walk along the coast path and stopped for a coffee with an amazing view of the beach towards St Ives.

Excited to see this beautiful pair on the ponds this morning.
We have seen some mallards too.
Last year we had four goslings, hopefully they will nest again.
