Today we would like to thank and wish all the very best to Lorraine.

Lorraine has run our office at the Holiday Park for almost 4 years.

She has overseen thousands of bookings, answered thousands of phone calls and emails, always with a smile.

Lorraine is off to concentrate on her role with Kintyre Gas that she runs with her partner John, she is staying in the town so will hopefully remain a friendly face to us all.

Congratulations Ewen, Ian and and the entire Machrihanish Holiday Park team. Xx

Storm update - we are now open for owners and customers again. There has been some damage to some touring caravans, the owners have been informed. At this stage we haven’t found any significant damage to any owners holiday homes. We will continue to check for damage and will report any to you. Please feel free to come and check your holiday home when you can. A big thank you to our team, neighbours and friends for helping get the park reopened so quickly and all their work in keeping everyone safe. We live in a great community. The Holiday Park will be closed on Friday due to the Red Weather Warning for high winds. We will be open again on Saturday. Please do not visit or stay in your holiday home from tonight until Saturday morning. Many thanks

Weather warning for wind upgraded to RED Friday 24th Jan 1000 - 17:00.

Very strong winds associated with Storm Éowyn causing very dangerous conditions and significant disruption on Friday.

What should you expect?

🚨Flying debris resulting in danger to life.

🚨Large waves and beach material being thrown onto coastal roads, sea fronts and homes.

🚨Very dangerous driving conditions with fallen trees on roads.

🚨Power cuts affecting other services, such as mobile phone coverage.

🚨Damage to buildings and homes, with roofs blown off and power lines brought down

🚨Roads, and bridges closed, with delays and cancellations to bus, train, ferry services and flights

What we advise

🔵 Stay away from the shoreline where possible

🔵 Large waves can carry debris. If you can feel the spray, you're too close

🔵 Check the tide times

🔵 Maintain visual on the water. Waves and surges happen rapidly
