π’ Exciting News at Queen's Croft High School! π
We are absolutely delighted to announce that Queen's Croft High School has received a generous donation of two metal detectors from the wonderful folks at Bloxwich Metal Detecting Club! π οΈπ
Les Barratt and Rob Garrington visited us on the last day of the school term to personally deliver these fantastic tools. During their visit, they took a tour of the school and identified the perfect spot to build a dedicated metal detecting siteβa 12' x 12' sand pit! π«ποΈ
But thatβs not all! Les and Rob have also offered to run workshops and give talks for our students, helping them learn all about the fascinating world of metal detecting. Rob, who owns Shire Travel International, has kindly offered to arrange transport to and from local farms for our students to get hands-on experience with metal detecting. πποΈ
They shared so many great ideas on how we can further develop this initiative, and we can't wait to start working with them in September to bring these plans to life. A huge thank you to Les and Rob for their incredible generosity and support. Our pupils are so lucky to have such a fantastic community behind them! ππ
