Grove Ferry River Trips

Grove Ferry River Trips Open Launched in March 2010. A new, greener, electric powered boat is available for river trips along the River Stour in Kent.

You will be able to pass through scenic areas of outstanding beauty unreachable by foot or car and get close to local wildlife. The quiet, electric boat will aid the sighting of many wild birds and animals, permitting close encounters. The "Ellen Mary" is the ideal platform for photographing the area and the wildlife. The new boat will seat up to 12 passengers comfortably. Why not enjoy a relaxing

1 hour river trip or book for a private “voyage” and then enjoy the wonderful hospitality of The Grove Ferry Inn at our moorings. Scheduled Trips from 12:00 on the hour till 4pm - GBP10 for Adults and GBP5 for U16's

Scheduled departures 12.00, 13.00, 14,00 15,00 and 16.00.

Scheduled Sailings from 1st September until further notice.
We will be open 5 days a week, Wednesday to Sunday.
Scheduled departures 12.00, 13.00, 14,00 15,00 and 16.00.
Prices for scheduled river trips. Adults £10, children under 16 £5, Children under 3 are free. We are dog friendly.

Thank you Sarah Harvey for these photos on our Wildlife Experience on 18th August.

Sightings of kingfishers and beavers were exceptional, with a fully grown beaver grooming on the riverbank and a juvenile beaver feeding in the margins. Other beavers were swimming close to the boat.

GLOBAL IT UPDATE To be honest it has not affected us!.... The river is clean and tidy...because boat owners and local canoists keep it that way. There are no potholes in the river. No diversions. The Swans might be available to view but they have wings and can fly off whenever they like. And they are certainly unaffected by any Global IT issues. Come down to Grove Ferry Inn . Treat yourself to a nice cold drink and bring it onboard....That's the way to get away from it all..... Skipper Pete is on duty today 07985273070...call to book!
