Cardiff's No1 boat ride around Cardiff Bay and the Bristol Channel. We have 3 identical 12 seater RIB boats, and provide all necessary safe equipment - life jackets etc. All our skippers and crew are trained to meet the stringent coastguard codes of practice for your safety and comfort. BOOKING DETAILS - Sea conditions can change the availability of trips, as your safety to us is very important. W

e will do our utmost to ensure if we have to cancel, we can get hold of you which is why we ask for a contact name and phone number when booking with us. We also understand some of your party may have disabilities or are concerned about the boats - just tell us and we will do our best to help, if you have any doubts please visit our booking stand before departure. This is located at the end of the lower boardwalk . It is a blue stand with big blue flags.

We have everything crossed for Saturdays trip to Steep Holm 🤞
Remember to dress appropriately for the trip- it’s always better to have too much than too little to wear.
Warm layers and a waterproof with sensible footwear.
Take some cash for the Islands shop and have the most amazing time exploring!

The island will be a busy one with 58 people booked on! (We have 2 spaces left from Cardiff if anyone’s looking to go!)

Sadly we lost todays planned trip to the Island. BUT......... Saturday is looking much less windy and at this moment, things are looking good to go!
We will have a full Island with 6 boats landing from Weston and Cardiff =D
Our volunteers are looking forward to welcoming you and sharing the day with everyone.
Please don't forget to bring some CASH for purchases in the shop and for beverages and snacks in the Barracks =D We love to keep you hydrated ;)

We often get asked “Why do you have to cancel my trip to Flat Holm or Steep Holm?”

Well if the truth be told, we really don’t want to cancel them but we can’t control the weather.
And when we say weather, a bit of rain, sleet even snow would’nt stop us, but wind can be our biggest enemy. If the wind direction or strength is wrong, we can’t land on the islands and then have to cancel. This is purely on the grounds of safety for passengers and our crew.

It’s disappointing for both you and us, as well as the respective organisations who manage the islands.
It means less visitors and income to them and us. They rely on the support of volunteers, donations and income from the boat trips to continue to maintain the islands and offer them as a destination to the public; so all around it is disappointing, but totally out of our hands.

We hope all those who may have been cancelled understand this and here’s keeping our fingers crossed for some better weather in the next few months. 🤞
