It feels like yesterday we were wandering the fields of Crickhowell at @greenmanfest, surrounded by the energy of so many incredible bands. Among them was Cardiff band @nookeeband , who had just finished their energetic set on the Chai Waller stage. We caught up with the band shortly after, still buzzing from the festival vibes, to chat about their Green Man experience and play a game of “Who is most likely too?”
The Cardiff music scene is on fire at the moment and Nookee are definitely one to watch next time you see them performing in Cardiff.
Global Superstar Tiësto turned up the beats at Cardiff Bay Despite Weather Woes
August Bank Holiday Sunday saw Cardiff Bay’s Alexandra Head come alive with an electrifying show headlined by none other than global superstar Tiësto. Joining him on stage were a host of world-class DJs, including Armand Van Helden, Solardo, D.O.D, and Welsh legends Jimpy and Lucas Alexander. The line-up was impeccable, but the British summer weather was anything but. However, the typical wind ame drizzle failed to dampen the spirits of Welsh ravers, who danced their hearts out until sundown.
It’s On’s very own @radiochloe was there to capture all the Tiësto highlights

Heather The Musical Is Back in Cardiff
Pack your schoolbag and put on your pleated skirt; you’re invited into the corridors of Westerberg High, as the well-known show Heathers has a run in Cardiff once again. It’s a musical that is growing in popularity, with a massive following of fans, and is gradually gaining the status of being one of the West End’s most iconic shows. We follow Veronica Sawyer as she attempts to infiltrate the popular gang in her school, the Heathers. However, things quickly turn darker than expected when she ends up dating rebellious teen JD. If you’re unfamiliar with the story of Heathers, it’s good to know that the show has a dark storyline, and it’s not quite the jaunty musical that you might be expecting. That said, it has an incredible soundtrack full of upbeat tunes to juxtapose this. In my opinion, a musical soundtrack that is very underrated. Given the storyline, you also wouldn’t expect the show to be as hilarious as it is. The scripting is genius and makes light of an otherwise gloomy story.

Opa! There’s a new Greek Artisan Bakery opened in Cardiff Market. 🇬🇷 🫓
new baker @olive.andoregano is serving traditional Greek fried dough balls, "sandos" which is like a Greek-style pizza, baklava cheesecakes, and tons of other Greek goodies.
Started by a top Antonis Alexandris, whose CV includes cooking for royalty and a Guinness world recordand has worked in the Celtic Manor and is not a stranger to Cardiff Market.
Everything is made on-site, the dough is freshly baked to order with mozzarella cheese with your chosen fillings or our set combos.
We tried the Athenian, An hellenic style meatball sub
Italian, Tomatoes, pesto & mozzarella which was a hefty size.
The Greek fried doughballs ‘Loukoumades‘ are Considered Athens's best dessert, made better by the fact they are stuffed with fetta cheese or nuttella!! 😍
Stuffed Praline Greek dough balls, with Biscoff crumb and a caramel sauce.
You can find Olive and Origano at the front of the Market right of the high Streey entrance.
Go check them out
