Wales has always been shaped by fearless women.

Lady Rhondda fought for women’s rights particularly in business and politics Cranogwen broke every rule to become a sailor, poet, and the first female editor of a Welsh magazine.

Frances Hoggan was one of the first women in Britain to become a doctor, paving the way for future generations.

And Laura Ashley turned her passion for design into a global empire—all from her home in Mid Wales.

Their stories remind us that women don’t wait for permission—You make things happen.

So today, recognise the women around you—your mum, sister, mate, nain, or colleague . Give them a shoutout, book them a break, make them a cuppa, or just remind them how incredible they are.

And to all the women out there - Take up space! Ask for that raise. Make that trip. Start that business. Climb that mountain. Book that spa day. Ride that horse. Whatever your thing is, do it for you.

You don’t orbit the sun any slower just because you get older, so today, take a moment and decide your own pace for 2025 💪
