We were live on the line to Nicky Campbell this morning on BBC Radio 5 live hoping to put a question to First Minister Eluned Morgan, but sadly they ran out of time. Next time maybe, but until then, are there holiday let owners out there who are struggling to hit the 182 night minimum for bookings, to qualify for non-domestic rates? Is it fair to expect holiday let properties to be open 252 days a year when other tourism businesses don't have to? How do you secure bookings out of season when nothing is open and the weather is bad? And what really is a 'commercial rate' if you let to friends or family? We would love to get our own little debate going on here.

Cliff walk to Penbryn with refreshments at the wonderful The Plwmp Tart Penbryn Beach then, when the tide is out, scramble back along the rocky shore to Tresaith. Of course by then you have more than earned your pint at The Ship Inn Tresaith West Wales

When you see a baby seal pup at the back of the beach at this time of year, please don't think it is stranded, and please don't take yourself (and your dog) closer to investigate. It is most likely that you are standing in between the pup and its mother, who is behind you in the water, waiting to come and feed it or keeping a watchful eye. Please just let nature do its thing.

Today, from the cliffs,we saw a couple walk right up to a baby seal on the next cove along from this one, with their dog off the lead. The dog went right up to the baby. The pup's mum was swimming back and forth along the beach in the surf. Imagine her distress. Please be considerate and take care on our Welsh beaches at this time of year. 🩵🦭🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

It is now seal pupping season on the Ceredigion coast, if you see a seal pup on the shore, please stay away and keep out of sight. Keep your dog away and on a lead.

Mum will be in the water and returns to feed the pup every four hours; in between feeds the pup needs time to rest and grow. If disturbed, mum will not come up on the beach to feed the pup.

If you see an injured or sick seal, please call the RSPCA on 0300 1234 999 or the British Divers Marine Life Rescue on 01825 765546. Do not attempt to intervene yourself.
