Our Portable Altitude Chamber (PAC), also known as a Gammow Bag, has been checked and ready for its first trip to Tanzania 🇹🇿

The chamber is like a massive air bed you climb into. Once pumped up with the person inside, it provides an environment of increased barometric pressure, and therefore reduces the altitude the person is at by around 2000m.

If someone is experiencing severe symptoms of Altitude Sickness, and rapid descent is not an option, this is the go to bit of kit to have close by as it can make a huge difference quite quickly. It only buys time however, as upon emerging the casualty would still be evacuated and treated in hospital.

Thankfully, it's never been used, and hopefully it'll stay that way - but we will continue to have it present on all expeditions that venture over 4,500m.

As you'll see the kids are always a fan of when the 'bouncy tube' thing comes out to play 😅

Kilimanjaro & Mt Meru Kit Flat Lay 🤩

I realised shortly after packing this away I'd forgotten to feature my water bladder, bottle and inflatable pillow - but you get the idea 😉😅

Some super reliable bits of gear in there I'll never go on expedition without. My EDZ Merino tops, boxers, hat and socks being some of them.

I'm looking forward to using our new Inreach Mini 2 for the first time on expedition. All being well you'll be able to track our progress throughout the expedition 🥰

A Very Merry Christmas to all from me, and the LMG T&E Team!

Thank you to everyone who came away with us this year! We've been to Nepal, Morocco and even Slovenia for the first time. 2025 is set to be the biggest yet, with 2 groups heading to Kilimanjaro in just a few weeks! Furthermore, we have a new destination recce happening which is always pretty exciting!

Thanks to all that support this small adventure travel operator of ours. The company continues to grow and the New Year is always a fantastic time to reflect on how far we've come.

I hope you have some amazing travels and adventures lined up for 2025, and for those coming with us - we can't wait to do it with you!

2 years ago today we stood atop Mount Toubkal. What a wonderful expedition it was!

It's International Mountain Day!

A day of appreciation for our mountains, and a day to remember the vital part they play in the bigger picture.

We're fortunate enough to live and play in the mountains all the time, and we'll always do our best to look after them the best we can.

Kilimanjaro - the ultimate bucket list peak - and understandably so!
Why wouldn't you want to stand on the summit of the tallest mountain in Africa, and the tallest freestanding mountain in the world!?

Our January 2026 expedition is nearly full, but there are spaces available for you to join us still. We don't just summit Kilimanjaro either, we also climb Mount Meru first! This acts as great acclimatisation for the main event, and is a superb climb in it's own right.

When I first went to Morocco, I knew I was likely to have a good time, but I didn't realise just how amazing this country was. I've been lucky enough to travel there a few times, and in just 3 months time I'll be back to lead another winter expedition up Mount Toubkal.

There are so many reasons why this 8 day trip is worth doing, and if you're up for a bit more of a challenge, then taking on North Africa's highest mountain under winter conditions is the way to go.
