The adventure can be great, but it's those that you share it with that can make it amazing.

5 Years ago I reached the summit of Lobuche East (6119m) with my friend and colleague Andy. Since then we've shared the summit of Mount Toubkal (4167m), Mera Peak (6476m) and Mount Triglav (2863m).

Here's to many more summits with Andy - hopefully I'll actually beat him to the top of one one day! 😅

Throwback to this time last year when we were out in Nepal climbing Mera Peak - what a superb trip that was!

A Slovenian adventure holiday anyone?

After a successful recce trip last year, we're looking to run our first trip to Slovenia this July. I was totally blown away by Slovenia - it is simply stunning! This adventure holiday will see you spend three days trekking in the Julian Alps, with the tallest mountain in Slovenia being the main target. After this you'll get to enjoy some whitewater rafting, and then you have the opportunity to enjoy the amazing Lake Bled. Here you can run, swim, chill - and so much more!
The trip ends with a trip to the capital of Slovenia, which is yet another beautiful place to visit.

Everest Base Camp - A trekking adventure to the foot of Everest

In April 2025, and then again in April 2026, we have expeditions lined up to head to Everest Base Camp. This wonderful journey will see you trek through the magnificent Khumbu Valley, slowly ascending as you make your way to the world famous Everest Base Camp.

Nepal really is a must visit country for any keen hiker, and heading to Everest Base Camp really is a wonderful thing to do.

Let's talk about Merino Wool! It's so good, it's:

Moisture-wicking: Merino wool draws sweat away from the skin, keeping you dry and comfortable.

Odour-resistant: Merino wool absorbs odour-causing bacteria, so it doesn't need to be washed as often as synthetic fabrics.

Insulating: Merino wool's structure traps insulation in the fiber, keeping you warm.
Temperature-regulating: Merino wool is a breathable, all-season fiber that can regulate temperature.

Soft and gentle: Merino wool is soft and silky, making it gentle on the skin and reducing the risk of skin allergies.

Durable: Merino wool is more than six times more durable than cotton or polyester.
Easy to care for: Merino wool can be freshened up by airing it out overnight, and some merino clothing is machine-washable.

If you're off on an expedition or trek, then you really should consider investing in some Merino garments! I never head on expedition without it, and on my recent trip to Manaslu I used Merino T-shirts, socks, boxers, jumpers and hats! All this gear was from Cumbria based who I've been trusting for over a decade. I really can't recommend their gear enough, but don't just take my word for it, get some and try it out for yourself.
