Pendine Sands is a long strip of sand which is backed by sand dunes. The beach stretches for around seven miles and sits on the shore of Carmarthen Bay on the south coast of Wales. Running all the way from Gilman Point to Laugharne Sands and it is also close to the small village of Pendine from which the beach gets its name. There are great views over Carmarthen Bay and across to the Gower and Tenby.
40 minutes from us and worth a visit .

Saundersfoot is a large village and community in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It is near Tenby, both being holiday destinations. Saundersfoot lies in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The village population was recorded as 2,500 in the 2021 census.

Poppit Sands
At the mouth of the Teifi Estuary, Poppit Sands is a sandy beach backed by dunes.

At high water, there is plenty of beach but it’s a low tide when the full extent of sand appears to go almost to Gwbert on the other side. Don’t attempt a crossing, though, the currents are too strong. Watch the tide when it’s coming in. It’s fast!

It is the start, or the end, of the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path which takes you right around the coast to Amroth in the south.

Dog restrictions apply to the western end of the beach between 1st May and 30th September. Check out a map of the beach to help with which section of the beach it applies to.

If you’re planning to visit, check out the tide times to make sure you’ve plenty of beach to play on and that you don’t get cut off by the incoming tide!

Visiting Tresaith Beach Waterfall was a truly magical experience. It was also an assault on the senses. From the bottom you can hear the full force of the waterfall and see a rainbow if the sun is shining. You can also feel the spray in relative safety and of course smell the sea air.

The highest of the four waterfalls in and around Pembrokeshire, in some respects it’s maybe more of a true waterfall. It’s certainly the one with the best views and makes for great photography. This definitely is a very Instagrammable place.
