National Botanic Garden of Wales 👣 The award-winning Regency Restoration Parkland at the The National Botanic Garden of Wales is the culmination of a 5 year project which aimed to restore features of a Regency period landscape. It was created in the late 18th and early 19th century for William Paxton, in what is now Waun Las National Nature Reserve. The stunning area boasts two new lakes, bridges, dams, cascades, and a waterfall encased within 300 acres of woodland scenery. And of course, the best way to enjoy this glorious landscape is on foot via a number of trails and walking routes that have been designed for visitors to enjoy all aspects of the parkland. A beautiful, marked walk through trees around this quiet reservoir. Ideal for gentle strolls. 🚶♀️ Cwm Lliedi Reservoirs are located in Swiss Valley, just North of Llanelli. The lower reservoir was the first to be constructed in 1878 in order to provide water to the town of Llanelli, the second upper reservoir was then later added in 1905 to meet the growing needs of the town. 👣These days the two reservoirs are a popular destination for dog-walkers, ramblers and wildlife enthusiasts.
