Because I’m L’Oréal 5 🌟 worth it !! 🤦🏻‍♀️ ! What a week to be sprung a Visit Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 grading inspection! ? 4 days notice ! But Red Kite Cottage - self contained rural Carmarthenshire barn remains 5 star and Y Golchdy - Cosy Stone Cottage remains approved and listed ( I didn’t want a low grading on this due to its quirkiness and popularity) phew 😮‍💨 knackered 😴

Can’t wait!! You can hear the trains from the cottage anyway but to have them starting from a short walk away now is out of this world !

What can you do in Carmarthenshire in less than 2 hours before guests arrive ? Left just after 12 n back before 2! The National Botanic Garden of Wales for A Taste of West Wales Winter Festival then spied the ephemeral atmospheric mist shrouding River Towy so quick nip up Paxton's Tower to soak it up ! You guests can enjoy weekend break activities just like this year round

Llyn Llech Owain Country Park has received the prestigious Green Flag Award for the very first time, whilst Pembrey Country Park has also retained its Green Flag status - the international mark of a quality park or green space.

The Green Flag Award programme is delivered in Wales by environmental charity Keep Wales Tidy, with support from Welsh Government. Independent green space experts volunteered their time in early autumn to judge applicant sites against eight strict criteria, including biodiversity, cleanliness, environmental management, and community involvement.

Plenty to entertain guests today in the roasting heat on the patio and give them insight into farming life in Wales .. fantastic display from 7 soaring , hunting Red Kites and buzzards thrown into the mix too .. ‘wow’ was the word of the day ! Book now to enjoy nature and agriculture in tandem ! They are happily watching rabbits on evening feed now. That could be you and yours ? After a day walking the headland and beach and flask of coffee at Llansteffan before 8am too !

Here we go ! All this was found at Gwalia Stores (The Pembrokeshire Beach Food Company) with fresh scallops from the gate from Jamie Fish )every Tuesday , added to crispy pan fried smoked bacon ,spring onions , flat parsley , mushrooms with Dulce seaweed and sea salt mix , I then reduced down in double cream and served on olive bread .. blasus iawn a siopalleol! If you fancy the same we have availability from August 14th onwards to savour the benefits of staying in a Welsh rural area !

My business lunch today 😂 I was talking to myself by time I had 2 cottage changeovers on the go lol .. Jamie Fish king prawns , healthy salad 🤪, and The Pembrokeshire Beach Food Company dulse seaweed and seaweed and sea salt seasoning in menyn sirgar from our local Gwalia Stores , and a dreg of Pinot Grigio slipped into a glass 😐😳😂 you too can sample this if you book a staycation here

Are you as lucky as me ? Just 20 mins down road after work and I get 2 beaches , a coastal path cliff walk and castle all to myself ! Llansteffan.Just saw 6 people in distance in couple hours and 4 miles or so .! Want to try for yourself ? Get booking !!

Here’s a taster of what’s on offer locally when you stay here .. our local garage and Gwalia Stores provide peppers🫑 spring onions , tomatoes 🍅, chilli 🌶, cucumber 🥒 and the limes I infuse them in , bacon 🥓 from their suppliers , I had free range eggs from Waverley Stores in Carmarthen and hand picked wild garlic for the omelette on lanes here fresh just half mile from cottage .. what’s not to like ? Easy living in the welsh countryside
