With three protected International Dark Sky Places within its borders, Wales is now one of the top destinations in the world for stargazing.
A study has found that 80 percent of the world live under skies polluted by artificial light, making it difficult to see the stars overhead.
Fortunately, the beautiful Welsh countryside has helped Wales avoid the worst effects of light pollution.
