Lisa & Adrian recently arrived for their 3rd stay with us on their e-bikes having cycled from Chorley. They had some great cycling adventures in the area seeing some beautiful countryside including Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty .
They covered over 160 mile in total! 🚲🚲😀!

Just a short drive to Thornton in Lonsdale for a lovely walk this week. A bit cloudy but the views were still great, especially of Ingleborough!
We had a nice refreshing beverage at the end of our walk and will return again to try the food as it looked delicious.

It was a bit of a wet start today but thought I’d take a walk along the river at Arkholme to the woodland area to see the bluebells.
Its just a lovely carpet of wild garlic and bluebells at the moment, the smell is wonderful.
We are so lucky to have this just a short walk from the the apartment.

Great views today from the top of Barbon Bullpot.
There was an icy wind chill so needed to wrap up warm but finished off with a bacon butty and coffee at the Churchmouse cafe to warm up afterwards.
Only a short 15/20 minute drive from the apartment too.

Thought it would be nice to stay local and enjoy a walk in the beautiful sunshine today. So nice to see the signs of Spring along the way.

Another cold crisp start today but that made for a beautiful walk along the River Lune. Lucky that the River is just a short walk from
the apartment too.
Some availability left for February if anyone is looking for a few days away.

It was a cold crisp start to the day so I had a lovely walk down the River Lune from Kirkby Lonsdale to Whittington and back.
Beautiful views today.

What better way to start the week than to enjoy the blue skies and do the Ingleton waterfall trail walk. After all the rain last night too the falls were impressive.

I had a lovely local walk yesterday round Kirkby Lonsdale and Casterton.
I walked along side Casterton golf club, and enjoyed the beautiful views and thought how well the course was maintained.
You can play here as a non member on the course, driving range and even footgolf. Thought it might be something some of our guests might enjoy.

Had a lovely walk in the sunshine yesterday at Williamson Park in Lancaster with my daughter Evie.
Williamson Park is home to the iconic Ashton Memorial & 54 acres of beautiful parkland. There are woodland walks, a butterfly house and a fully licensed cafe.
It’s lovely to sit outside the cafe and enjoy the amazing views over to The Fylde coast, Morecambe bay and the Lake District mountains.

The rain didn’t put us off today heading to Settle to follow 1 of the 3 Flower pot trails and luckily it cleared up just as we arrived.
From the youngest to the eldest we all loved the fun of following the trail and completing the quiz sheet.
A great way to explore Settle.

Lots of our guests love listening to the sounds of the countryside when they stay with us. A few have commented how they love to hear the owls. 🦉
Yesterday I managed to catch site of these 2 owlets in the tree across from the house!

It’s a beautiful sunny day here, perfect for a walk through the local village of Wray to see the scarecrow festival. There’s a great trail to follow and so many scarecrows to see.
Why not sit by the river and enjoy the food & treats at the garden centre and tearooms too.
