Acre Wood Barn is an accessible holiday let just three miles out of the historic market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, with a beautiful view up Barbondale whatever the weather.
Set within the Yorkshire Dales, and a short drive from The Lake District, we are spoilt for choice when it comes to days out yet remote enough to feel the peace of nature all around.
The buildings are sound and decorated just waiting on a new electric supply, then the air source heat pump can be fitted. Once this has been connected we have to run it for 4 weeks before the flooring can be fitted, only then can we get signed off and open bookings.
As soon as the electricity board give us a date we will have a clearer idea of when we can start sharing availability.
If you can like our page please we will post as soon as bookings open. It’s been a long time in the planning and an even longer dream in our hearts but we hope you think it was worth the wait 🙏

Buying preloved kitchens has it’s challenges!
The main one being a 3.5 metre breakfast bar, clad in bronze. Where to store whilst building work progressed, calls for help led to it being housed at Mortimer Fabrications at Cowan Bridge. Completely in their way it must have been a real pain for several months!
Finally the day dawned, bright and freezing, for the delivery of this unwieldy, heavy creation.

Just the flooring to go in and the kitchen will be ready for some inclusive cuisine 😍@

Whilst waiting impatiently for our new electric supply to be installed it’s time to turn our thoughts to landscaping. With life already bursting through the mud there is no time to lose.
