New Cultural Event Support from Island Escapes! 🇮🇲

We're excited to announce a new charity partnership with Culture Vannin (Manx Heritage Foundation).

Following a successful partnership with Manx Wildlife Trust that began in 2018 Island Escapes have now decided to also work with Culture Vannin on the same basis in order to help the charity support Manx culture at festivals and events. 💃

For each booking made with Island Escapes a small donation is requested at the time of booking that is then split between Manx Wildlife Trust and Culture Vannin at the end of the year.

The Isle of Man is a very special place, somewhere with its own culture, history, and language, and the work of Culture Vannin supports and carries that forward. A small team, guided by the charity’s trustees, works in partnership with the community to deliver exciting and innovative projects with real integrity and impact.

During the summer season our team are busy ensuring the logisitical side to Island Escapes runs smoothly. 🏡

With over 100 properties round the island, and a large team of housekeepers based in different locations, getting what they and our guests need each day requires us planning ahead to ensure the operations run smoothly. 🛌

This summer (June - Sept) we're looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team 4 days per week working approx 30 hrs per week.

Please note that this role is quite physically demanding.

The collaboration has seen over 70 Island Escapes managed holiday rental properties now offering a recycling collection, of glass, cans, paper, cardboard and plastic from the kerbside. The first scheme of its kind in the industry on the Isle of Man.

The world’s resources are finite, and the need to reduce, reuse, recycle has never been more important. Earth Overshoot Day marks the date when humanity's demand for resources in a given year exceeds what the Earth can regenerate that year. This day serves as a stark reminder of our unsustainable consumption patterns and their impact on the planet's ecosystems. As Earth Overshoot Day creeps earlier each year, it highlights the urgent need for collective action to address such issues.
